Say hello to the Peugeot 205 GTI, a total icon produced between 1984 and 1994. If there’s one thing that makes this car legendary, it’s the power-to-weight ratio. 🏎️💨
Here’s why it’s a masterpiece:
Insane Agility: It weighs less than 900kg, making it one of the most nimble and responsive drives in history.
The Signature Look: You can’t miss that iconic red trim line cutting through the bumpers and side moldings.
Visceral Power: Whether it’s the 1.6L or the 1.9L, those fuel-injected engines were built for pure, high-revving excitement.
It’s not just a car; it’s the benchmark for every hot hatch that followed. 🔥

You've probably heard of Richard Tuthill if you're into classic Porsches or if you followed Singer's insane 911 Safari-style All-terrain Competition Study.

Tuthill Porsche is owned by Richard and can do almost anything to any 911, but its specialty is historic motorsport prep for both racing and rallying. We both think it's pretty cool.

But all of that knowledge has now been transferred to a road car, and it is magnificent. The 911K is Tuthill's creation, and it is powered by a 3.1-liter four-valve engine that can reach 11,000rpm. Oh yes. There's no information on power, but the 850kg wet weight is the real story here. We've eaten much larger lunches.

And, given that Singer has stopped taking orders for its 'Classic' 911, opting instead for the Turbo, this featherweight, high-revving effort becomes even more appealing.

Sounds unique innit? More information will be released later, but for now, know that it has a six-speed manual transmission, carbon ceramic brakes, rally spec dampers, a titanium roll cage, and a hydraulic handbrake. Almost every panel is also made of carbon fiber. To save weight, even the Fuchs-style wheels are woven, and the Porsche crest up front is hand-painted. Apparently there's no word on pricing yet.

The 7 Series luxury flagship's story began in 1977 with the E23 generation, which was a successor to the E3 BMW New Six. The turbocharged 745i, powered by the 3,205 cc M102 straight-six petrol engine, was the lineup's top model.
The 745i model number has a logical explanation. It was based on the theoretical assumption that a 3.2-liter turbocharged engine would produce the same amount of power as a 4.5-liter naturally-aspirated powerplant. In this case, the multiplier is 1.4 (45/32 = 1.4). The high-end 745i, on the other hand, had a flaw. The model was a no-go in right-hand drive markets due to the specific engine bay configuration, which took up a lot of space due to the additional turbocharger installed.

Because of the overall engine component configuration and the steering column, there was virtually no room to accommodate the turbocharger on the left side of the engine bay.

In order for a RHD turbocharged 745i to exist, the steering column would have collided with the turbocharger on the right engine side, with no way to mirror the placement onto the left side of the bay due to space constraints.

And now is the time for South Africa to take action. The BMW engineers at the Rosslyn plant in Johannesburg's northern outskirts addressed the problem and devised an ingenious solution, which allegedly irritated BMW management in Europe.

They chose to use the 3,453 cc, straight-six M88 engine originally developed for the M1 supercar. South African engineers created the special 745i SA by fitting a 3.5-liter M88/3 engine to the top-of-the-line E23 7 Series. The 6-cylinder engine was built with a cast iron block and an aluminum cylinder.

Pagani Atelier's first vehicle, the Zonda C12, was unveiled at the 1999 Geneva Motor Show. The exotic coupe had a curved windshield, and the interior was designed to look like a fighter jet. Pagani used carbon fiber extensively in the first Pagani, drawing on his experience at Lamborghini, an especially impressive decision given the unique and original design of the Zonda C12. "The shape had to be sensual; the wheel arches should be reminiscent of a woman's bosoms, the rear bonnet of her hips," quotes Horacio Pagani.

The Mercedes-sourced 6.0-liter V12 produced 394 (293 kW) and 420 pound-feet at launch (570 Newton-meters). That's a far cry from the modern day Pagani. But with a five-speed manual transmission and a lightweight design (weighing in at 2,755 pounds), the C12 could hit 60 miles per hour (96 kilometers per hour) in 4.2 seconds, with a top speed of around 185 mph (297 kmh).

For Ferrari aficionados, the Ferrari Mondial has always been rather divisive. Neither one of the quickest nor the most potent Ferraris ever produced, it never set any records in either category. These are only two of the reasons why the Mondial was never very well received when it was first introduced and also why it is suddenly a car that many people find appealing as a classic purchase. Because that item has a Ferrari badge on the front, at the end of the day. Because of this, the Mondial is the most affordable Ferrari available.

The Mondial was built from 1980 to 1993 and was designed by the legendary Pininfarina with bodywork by Carrozzeria Scaglietti. While those elements usually result in a great car, the Mondial's power and top speed seemed to let it down. Throughout its life, the Mondial was a mid-engine, V8-powered car powered by various Ferrari V8s. However, none of these engines produced the power that customers would expect from a Ferrari.

A Ferrari for everyone isn't the best phrase, but it's also not entirely incorrect. Most classic Ferraris, such as the 250 GTO or even more modern examples like the underrated F50 and legendary F40, tend to skyrocket in value. However, the Mondial has always been reasonably priced for those looking for a Ferrari. Some are available for less than $30,000, while more desirable editions, such as the Mondial T and cabriolet, can range from $35,000 to $40,000. This is still significantly less than the price of all modern Ferraris.
