er. Owned by Cozzy D, Lower East continues to evolve and remains as relevant today as it was when it was first founded at the beginning of the decade. Since its launch, quality and variety have been key traits of the label, they form the core of Lower East’s output. Cozzy has been entrenched in the club world for a long while now, with his personal tastes informed by a range of influences. This permeates into the label, which supports a variety of sounds, from straight up dancefloor ready house & techno to more accessible deep and soulful cuts. Tracks such as Gavin Herlihy's timeless remix of Gav Memnos' 'Be Your Oooo', Johnny Mikes’ Darkness Everyday’, Alexis Raphael's 'Kitchens & Bedrooms' and Cozzy D’s ‘Aphrodite’ are among Lower East’s key hits and helped establish them as a reputable source of high quality club music. Since then Lower East has maintained a constant flow of releases, from a wide range of artists from the likes of MK to Timo Maas – also releasing two various artist compilations: Inner Circles 1 & 2, not to mention label showcases in Switzerland, Paris, Barcelona and across the breadth of the UK as well as a tour of Australia. Nurturing new talent is a constant focus too, with artists like REbEL, Johnny Mikes, Michael Jansons and Alexis Raphael coming up through the ranks thanks to their support.
