Maksim Avdeev brings us Monument tomorrow during our screening.
In a reflection on family, identity, and the chasm of ideology, he confronts the stark parallels and irreconcilable differences with their father. Bound by blood yet torn apart by divergent beliefs, their relationship exists only within the confines of archival footage. Forced into exile for their queerness, the director breaks the silence, dialing their father's number after 1.5 years. Come find out more about his journey tomorrow during our screening at 20h30 in Z-Bar Berlin.

A ray of light reveals a face in the darkness. A tear leaks from its right eye, crosses the face and falls into the abyss. The tear takes us to an inner place of suffering, where pain overshadows sanity. In this fragile state of delirium and helplessness, science, faith and witchcraft are intertwined in the hope that the broken eye will heal. Giulia Falciani brings us the wonderful film Occhio which we are delighted to share with you this next Wednesday!

"Stone" is a contemporary adaptation of a short Zen poem written by Paul Reps — a poetic short film exploring the principle of being in a world increasingly shaped by urgency, identity, and ideological tension. The film playfully meditates on perception and the quiet edge between presence and extremism and it's a wonderful and timely piece by the talented Nico Serban and we can not wait to share it with you this Wednesday at Shortcutz Berlin.

Dull Spots of Greenish Colours is an immersive animated film brought to us by Sasha Svirsky.
War for our attention has suddenly become an actual war. Information technologies appear not just as mere means for somebody’s ends but as something having their agency, as one of the acting forces rendering possible a horrific event, which is very hard to accept and almost impossible to comprehend. We have no control over it and are doomed to scroll through the newsfeed.
Don't miss out on the screening of this amazing film tomorrow during our screening!
