This one is deeply personal.
In this episode, Frank, Misty and I (Effie) speak to our guest, long time listener, Talia. Both her and I share our experiences as survivors of childhood s*xual abuse. It was confronting yet cathartic to record, but I’m incredibly proud of this conversation and the strength it took to have it.
We also talk about how, despite the trauma, our experiences have shaped our s*xuality; not in shame, but in complexity, curiosity, exploration and resilience. We’ve taken something dark and painful and found a way to reclaim it, integrate it, and even transform it into something empowering.

But also know this: what tried to break us only made us stronger.
