+PANIC — Kosmograf

Originally created for the Humboldt Labor exhibition, we developed a custom version of the +Panic-swarm-system for this impressive and extraordinary display of the Kosmograf.

Five different types of fish with different behavior and appearance fill the volume of the Kosmograf and hypnotizingly surround his LED skin with never-repeating movement patterns.

From time to time, the harmonious movements are broken by generative invisible hunters who startle the swarm. These impulses transform the Kosmograf for a short moment into a colorful and overwhelming play of colors to calm down again soon.

In November 2022, our German-Canadian co-production CHOM5KY vs CHOMSKY with the ONF - National Film Board of Canada will celebrate its world premiere in Berlin. When machine intelligence is praised as an inevitable and necessary technology of the present and future, one should ask: What are we hoping for? And what price are we willing to pay?
CHOM5KY vs CHOMSKY is a mixed reality installation that invites visitors to have a thought-provoking encounter with Artificial Intelligence.

𝐒 𝐔 𝐑 𝐕 𝐈 𝐕 𝐀 𝐋 — We are very happy to finally present our latest installation today.

After 𝐒 𝐔 𝐑 𝐕 𝐈 𝐕 𝐀 𝐋 was supposed to celebrate its premiere at the end of last year, we can finally show our latest joint work with Marc Sinan and a multitude of great artists. Until Sunday a small fine number of people can get tickets → Spreehalle.berlin

𝐒 𝐔 𝐑 𝐕 𝐈 𝐕 𝐀 𝐋 is based on a contemporary variation of the Orpheus myth which tells the dream of a love that surpasses death. Marc Sinan's score combines traditional music from Asia and Europe. The music is of hypnotic, trance-like intensity.

Recordings of the musicians and the performer are shown together with generative and audio-reactive visuals on a total of 38 LED panels. The spatial arrangement of the installation, like the composition, is based on the Fibonacci sequence. The spiral-shaped installation and the 360° sound space created by 12 loudspeakers are freely accessible. Sound and image can thus be experienced in different ways at every point of the immersive space.

𝐒 𝐔 𝐑 𝐕 𝐈 𝐕 𝐀 𝐋 is part of the "Endless Pleasures"-series.

WE ARE HIRING! 🎉
→Project Manager / Digital Producer (m/w/d)←

+ Du würdest regelmäßig in unserem Studio in Berlin arbeiten.

+ Du sprichst Deutsch und Englisch fließend.

Solltest du dich angesprochen fühlen, dann schick uns bis zum 30.04.2021 deine Bewerbung an [email protected]

Dear friends and followers, we have a special audio-visual treat for you in these crazy times: The project "Beethoven recomposed" commissioned by German broadcasting company WDR is a unique approach to make the music of Ludwig van Beethoven tangible for people with and without hearing impairment.

It has been an intense ending of last year and exciting beginning of 2020 for us, working on this ambitious goal. In collaboration with Johannes Lemke we built a VVVV-based custom tool, which made it possible to use every single of the 30.000+ notes in the score to trigger forms, motions, lights or colours.

Everything supersync. Everything realtime.

This wouldn't have been possible without the WDR Funkhausorchester and Wayne Marshall. Thanks for playing the whole concert on a click track and with headphones. We know, it's more fun without. But we believe that the sacrifice made has paid off. :)

Thanks Stefan Behrisch for the great collaboration and for the stunning musical journey inspired by Beethoven's work.

Thank you Annechien Koerselman for our inspiring and fun talks about the live-show and for giving us the freedom to create this visual journey.

And last but not least: Katharina Höhne, thank you for the initial idea of a concert for people with and without hearing impairment. Without you, this wouldn't have happened.

Yours truly,
the Buntis ❤

Hi friends,
we'd like to share our latest project in collaboration with ART+COM. We breathed life into a kinetic installation, which explores a dynamic interaction between the digital and the physical. In this choreography the screens interact with generative images and vice versa in real time.
More information here: http://schnellebuntebilder.de/projects/inspiration-wall/

All content is created in real time with VVVV - a visual programming environment and the choreography of the screens is controlled and simulated in VL.
