Who is this handsome young man?
When Raja Ram was in his early 20s he heard the sound of a flute being played and was so transported by the incredible sound that he decided that was his future.
After a few years of studying the instrument in his home town of Melbourne, he somehow in 1965 found his way to New York and began training with the renowned American jazz pianist, composer, arranger and teacher of jazz improvisation, Lennie Tristano.
And by the way, this flute in the photo is still the same beautiful flute he plays when performing!
Raj has had such a rich and varied history before the psytrance life that we all know him, perhaps he should write a book?
