From June 9 to 20, we realized 12 open-air screenings in cooperation with the Berlinale. We had 12 successful and wonderful nights in our Tempelhof “Kiez-Kino” with films like “The Mauritanian” or „Nebenan“. The latter was partly shot in our studios. The Summer Special was also a successful opening to our newly designed event area.

In addition to the completely sold-out screenings, we had a fantastic time with our service providers and partners, whom we would like to thank again:

As the temperatures are rising, the sun is shining and social life starts again, we from BUFA have been very busy to plan exciting events over the next two weeks:

While the Berlinale - Berlin International Film Festival Summer Special is in its last days,
we will have the opening event of COMMON GROUND, a temporary exhibition of Berlin-based artists, this Saturday, 19.6.:

evening: Former federal president Horst Köhler in our Studio 3 to open the first live streaming event of the national citizen assembly on climate policy (Bürgerrat Klima).

This citizen assembly was initiated by Scientists 4 Future and BürgerBegehren Klimaschutz e.V. and is organized by ifok GmbH, Institut für Partizipatives Gestalten and nexus. During twelve meetings, which will all be live-streamed from our studios, 160 casted citizens will develop recommendations for the German policies on climate.

into BUFA Studio 2 - 775 sqm on the 2nd floor. Luckily we have a goods lift 🙌🏼 it is actually our oldest studio, originally built in 1913! A historical series is currently being filmed here for 🔜 more info!

- we have given our a technical spring cleaning and exchanged our old rig motors for 15 brand new Movecat PlusLite 500-4 electric chain hoists.

Due to the new D8+ motor control, from now on no secondary securing by steel cables is necessary, and the new load measuring device and operating limit switch allow the technical team to move around the studio safely and more freely even during rigging works.

For our studio customers, this means even safer and more effective work in our green screen studio and noticeable time savings.
