🔮Dope Purple's 2026 EU / UK Tour has come to an end!🔮

We would like to sincerely thank all the organizers, labels, venues, crew members, and everyone who came to the shows throughout this tour. We'd also like to give a special thanks to Ya Ya Yeah for organizing the European tour, and to our Tour Driver / Tour Manager Jimmy. Thanks to your support and hard work, Dope Purple was able to complete this tour successfully.

This was Dope Purple's first-ever EU/UK tour and the longest tour in the band's history. Throughout this journey, we gained countless valuable experiences and insights, which we hope to bring into our future albums and live performances.

Thank you all so much for your support.

We hope to see you again in the future!

The Dope Purple European tour is reaching its peak!

Tonight we're playing in Rotterdam, Netherlands (PPodium Grounds, and tomorrow we'll be in Binche, Belgium (BBrasserie Nationale. After that, we're heading to the UK for the final leg of the tour.

These will be Dope Purple's very first shows in the UK, and we're incredibly excited to finally meet everyone there in person.

Lashing passively against the torrents of the times; declaring faintly into the chasm of the interior. A vain resistance dissolves into spume, leaving its blurred edges branded upon an obsessive brow.

Cheng Daoyuan is one of the representative figures in Taiwan’s contemporary experimental sound scene. His sound works have been released through labels and platforms across multiple countries, and he has participated in several art festivals, both in Taiwan and internationally, through performances, exhibitions, and other formats. He explores the ambiguity of opposing forces through sonic structures that juxtapose murky, pressurized sound masses with quiet, abstract sonic fields. ‘Feeding Frowns For Fronted Froth’ centers on massive walls of atmospheric sound, striking outward through blurred low-end pulsations while confessing inward through sharp, distant high frequencies. As the deafening contours cease to remain clear, all that is left is estrangement across distance.

Side A consists of three tracks in distinct styles. An uncanny melody stirs within the act of swallowing; a haloed resonance curled within the pulse gradually drifts out of focus, until the final soundless strike continues to sway at the fingertips. Side B unfolds as an expanse of lingering ruminative haze, unmoving before Sisyphus’s talismanic stone.

鄭道元是台灣當代實驗聲響場景中具代表性的創作者之一，他的聲音作品發表於多國廠牌與平台，並以演出與展覽等形式參與數個國內外藝術祭活動。他透過混濁高壓與靜謐抽象並置的聲響結構探索對立面的含混性，《Feeding Frowns For Fronted Froth》以大塊氛圍音牆為軸線，以模糊的低音律動向外揮擊的同時，也以遠方的尖銳高頻對內告解，當震耳的輪廓不再清晰，只陌於距離之間。

A面由三首不同風格的曲目構成，不安的曲調在吞嚥中攢動；踡伏於脈搏的暈映逐漸失焦，直至最後一下的無聲敲擊在指尖持續擺盪。B面則是片綿延的反芻霧霾，在薛西弗斯的石敢當前未曾移動。

LA FOIRE AUX BESTIAUX II, 29-30 May 2026

(Somewhere in Brittany, France)

Two days of magic have come to an end. It was about true underground music, friendship, community, and shared visions of art and life. There are not enough words to thank Simon (Pays du Mat) and Viqtor (Cioran Records ) for the invitation, or the whole team and all the volunteers for their hard work. And of course, thanks to all of you who were there to share these moments with us. It felt like a spiritual cleansing.

Eight years ago, I witnessed the first concert by Pays du Mat and Dorminn in Rennes, on the occasion of État Sorcier. I also shared the stage with them under the name of my solo project. Over the years, we have had other special moments playing together, including La Jambe Crue and Hourvari Festival. Now, at LA FOIRE AUX BESTIAUX II, the flame is still burning. The connection keeps growing stronger. We can call it a music scene, but it is far more than that. Life changes, but the core of what you pursue still pulls you toward the unknown future.

It was so wonderful to see five artists connected to WV Sorcerer Productions play at this gathering: Dorminn .shaman , Inselberg , Pays du Mat , Ruò Tán, and Sordide . I met old friends I had not seen for a long time, and made new friends. It felt like a family.

Preparing my set at 8am with the birds humming, lying down near the fire at 3am and staring at the stars, holding a cup of rhum while trying to catch someone stage-diving, I appreciate all of these moments. 🙏🙏✊✊
