"Togoland Projektionen" wird in Berlin am kommenden Freitag, 8. Mai um 19:00 Uhr im Beisein des Regisseurs Jürgen Ellinghaus bei den "Interkulturanstalten Westend e.V. Ulme 35 – Raum für Kunst, Kultur & Begegnung" zu sehen sein.

Jürgen Ellinghaus, director of TOGOLAND PROJECTIONS, has become a member of PRESAT - Project on the return Schomburgk's visual archives (films) on the German colony of Togo (1884-1918). This provenance research project is based at the Centre Marc Bloch and supported by four French and German ministries. Partners are Université de Lorraine, Zentralarchiv der staatlichen Museen zu Berlin, and Archives nationales du Togo.

The 19th Bremer Kaffeetasse - Bremen Coffee Cup - took place at maxim film's Berlin office. maxim film hosted the Berlinale reception of Filmbüro Bremen.
The cake was delicious and the guests were in good mood.

The year is drawing to a close, and with a touch of nostalgia, our memories go back thirty years to when maxim film opened in Berlin on December 13, 1995, with a big party.

In the darkness, with loud music and dancing, technicians worked until midnight to install the last cables for a VideoMachine—an innovative digital editing system at the time, now forgotten technology. And the next day, we discovered that we hadn't locked the front door.

There are no photos of the party. Unthinkable today. But there are still photos of the ephemeral installation “two cubes” made of ice and stone by Josina von der Linden in the second backyard, created for the opening. The raw brick wall and the old gatepost – these too are history.
