I'm thrilled to announce the release of my new EP, Cat's Cradle, coming out on August 23rd for FREE. This project has been a deeply personal journey, reflecting on the rhythms of life, the search for meaning, and the resonances that shape our existence.
The EP features three tracks: "Waves," "Womb," and "Wadis." Each piece is a meditation on the forces that move us, much like the waves that shape the shore—constant, powerful, and ever-changing. The artwork for this EP captures this theme, drawing on the imagery of the beach, water, and waves to echo the music’s flow.
"Womb," the second track, holds a special place in my heart. It is dedicated to my mother, who recently passed away. Although I composed it before she left us, returning to this piece was the first step I took back into the world of music after her passing. To me, "Womb" encapsulates the span of a human life—its beginnings, its fragility, and its profound connections. It’s a tribute to her, and to the life she gave me.
The title Cat's Cradle is inspired by Kurt Vonnegut's novel, which explores the ways we search for meaning and purpose in a world that can often seem indifferent. In many ways, this EP reflects my own journey through these themes—how we hold on to what matters, even in the face of life’s uncertainties.
