Simia is a psychedelic trance project founded in 2014 by Serbian producer and DJ Matia Salai (born 1992). Raised among diverse musical influences and trained in piano from an early age, Matia developed a deep passion for sound experimentation.

After discovering the psytrance scene in 2006, he began producing music and performing as a DJ in 2011. Since then, Simia has played across the region and at festivals such as Drops, Free Mental and Foresterra Festival, with performances spanning from the Austrian Alps to Malta and Cyprus.

In 2020, Simia released his debut EP on Hypnotique Recordings. Currently, he is focused on refining his signature sound and new releases with Quintessence Records. Stay tuned for more!
