Techno-Jazz record label based in Berlin and Milan. Modern music needs to be ambitious. Jazz-o-Tech will be "avant-garde" but with a soul.

In the truly experimental spirit of the pioneers of jazz and electronic underground music, Jazz-o-Tech "manifesto" envisage the development of a style which is free from any kind constraints dictated by the "genre", by the track's structure, or any cold cliche' of modern electronic music. Jazz-o-Tech, instead, wants to encourage innovation, experimentation, improvisation and live elements which m

ake every performance and every track dense with musical ideas and full of soul. We embrace the spirit and sound of the Jazz heritage but we implant it on the experimental sounds and warm analogic grooves of techno and electronica. We foster collaboration between electronic music producers and "live" musicians in order to create a new musical space where technology meets improvisation, rhythm meets inspiration and innovation meets tradition. It must aim at delivering to the public a musical message which is one step beyond what has already been heard, and take the public by hand to a new musical journey, a journey into the powerful mystical dimension of music.

Come dance with us in our show on Sunday, November 17 at Kantine Am Berghain, where we will have the pleasure of hosting a live concert by Finnish duo Aki Himanen and Aleksi Kinnunen and Italian Jazz legend Gianluca Petrella, this time behind the turntables.

Doors open at 8PM.

Trumpeter Aki Himanen and drummer Aleksi Kinnunen form an explosive duo that fuses Scandinavian jazz with the pulsating rhythms of techno music. The music is dark, intense and a poetic mix full of hypnotic mental images. It is reminiscent of Scandinavian landscapes where nature and technology gently merge.

Gianluca Petrella is a jazz trombonist who has performed at major festivals and collaborated with prominent figures in both jazz and electronic music, from Steve Coleman to Ricardo Villalobos. For this very special performance, Gianluca will make his debut at Kantine am Berghain, showcasing a selection from his music collection.
