The Royal Scottish National Orchestra and their Music Director Thomas Søndergård embark on a European tour this week.

The concerts feature a variety of piano concertos by Brahms, Beethoven and Ravel. The orchestra is joined by pianists Magdalene Ho, Jan Lisiecki for select dates, and Francesco Piemontesi for a small residency in Salzburg.

14.10. – Ljubljana

The London Symphony Orchestra and their Chief Conductor Sir Antonio Pappano continue their European Tour with three dates in Germany, planned by KD SCHMID.

The concerts will feature soloists Seong-Jin Cho and Janine Jansen for dates in Essen and Hamburg and will feature programmes with works by Rossini, Shostakovich, Beethoven, Britten and more.

Conductor Izabele Jankauskaite is in Finland this week for her debut with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra.

She will conduct a family concerts that will take concert-goers young and old on an adventure through the concert hall.

Later this season, Izabele Jankauskaite will debut with two other Finnish Orchestras: the Tapiola Sinfonietta and the Lapland Chamber Orchestra.

After a successful open-air concert to close out August, Lucas & Arthur Jussen now begin the concert hall chapter of their residency with the hr-Sinfonieorchester (Frankfurt Radio Symphony) this week.

They kick things off on 24 September with Saint-Saëns’ "Carnival of the Animals", conducted by Alain Altinoglu and featuring Friederike Kempter as narrator.

Just two days later, they return to the stage with Mozart’s Concerto for Two Pianos in E-flat major, K. 365/316a as part of a programme that also includes Ravel’s "Ma mère l’oye" and "L’enfant et les sortilèges".

More highlights of their residency are scheduled for December and February 2026.
