The Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra () and Jukka-Pekka Saraste set off tomorrow for their tour through Germany and Austria.

Their programme features Outi Tarkiainen's "Songs of the Ice", Sibelius’ Symphony No. 1 and Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto in D with Pekka Kuusisto joining as soloist for three performances. In Frankfurt, Guido Sant’Anna will join the orchestra with Sibelius' Violin Concerto.

Lucas & Arthur Jussen join the Münchner Philharmoniker and Tugan Sokhiev for three concerts in Munich before embarking on a joint tour.

At the Isarphilharmonie, they will perform Mendelssohn’s Concerto for Two Pianos.
The following week, they take Poulenc’s Concerto for Two Pianos in D minor on tour, with performances in Toulouse, Amsterdam, Antwerp, and Dortmund.

Augustin Hadelich takes the stage in the first half with Barber’s Violin Concerto, while the orchestra presents the New York premiere of Sebastian Fagerlund’s "Stonework". The evening concludes with Sibelius’s Symphony No. 2 in the second half.

Seong-Jin Cho gives the world premiere of Donghoon Shin’s Piano Concerto, written especially for him, tomorrow with the London Symphony Orchestra. The performance at the Barbican is part of his Artist Portrait series.

Under the baton of Maxime Pascal, the programme also includes world premieres by Omri Kochavi and Sasha Scott, both developed through the LSO Helen Hamlyn Panufnik Composers’ Scheme, alongside Pierre Boulez’s "Rituel in memoriam Bruno Maderna".

This week, Guido Sant'Anna takes the stage with two Nordic orchestras, performing Sibelius’ Violin Concerto in D minor.

He kicks off with his Iceland debut in Reykjavik, joining the Iceland Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Tomáš Hanus.

Next, he appears with the Helsinki Philharmonic Orchestra, led by Jukka-Pekka Saraste, for the Frankfurt stop on their short tour through Austria and Germany.

This week, Tianyi Lu makes her debut leading the Tiroler Symphonieorchester Innsbruck in two concerts.

Mezzo-soprano Bella Adamova joins her to present Alma Mahler's "Seven Songs" for medium voice and orchestra. The rest of the programme features Gustav Mahler's "Adagietto" from Symphony No. 5 and R. Strauss's tone poem, "Death and Transfiguration".

Andris Nelsons begins his season-long residency as Artist in Focus at the Musikverein Wien with two concerts featuring the Gewandhausorchester and soloists Seong-Jin Cho and Augustin Hadelich.

Further performances during his residency at the Viennese concert hall will follow in February and May 2026, featuring the Gewandhausorchester and the Wiener Philharmoniker, presenting works by Mozart, Dvořák, Mahler, Shostakovich, Rachmaninoff, Schumann and Richard Wagner.
