"Invisible Blooms" Dedicated to the Absent Voices of Ukrainian Women
In a vast kingdom, there was a garden, said to hold the rarest flowers. Over time, walls were built, and only the brightest, loudest blooms were celebrated. Their color dazzled, their scent was sung, and their presence filled every hall.
Yet behind the walls, other flowers grew quietly. Some bent under shadow, some whispered only to the wind, some hid entirely beneath the roots. Their beauty was subtle, their knowledge deep, their voice unheard.
A gardener came, patient and attentive. She noticed the hidden flowers and spoke softly of their existence. The guards were unsettled. “Why speak of blooms that no one sees?” they asked.
“I will listen,” said the gardener. “I will tend the unseen. Their silence is not emptiness — it is depth. And one day, the world will notice what has always been here, patiently waiting in shadow.”
This is for those invisible flowers: the absent voices of Ukrainian women.
We once heard the voice of Femen from Kyiv — loud, visible, impossible to ignore. It demanded attention, provoked, and made itself known.
But the voices we seek now are different: quiet, invisible, silenced, reflective. They are not performing. They are not claiming the spotlight. They are absent — waiting for a space where they can be heard.
At imagofeminae, we do not evaluate. We do not amplify the loudest. We simply wait. We listen.
