A new and final release from the UNCTO project by Dominik Müller and Rafal Fürst, "The Last Chapter", will be available on 13 March. After fifteen years of activity — shaped by countless factors, circumstances, and turning points — the decision was made to place the project on hiatus. Before stepping into silence, one final release emerged as the natural closing gesture: a last chapter gathering the entire body of work created over the years.
This compilation unites previously unreleased tracks, completed especially for this edition, with all officially released material from the EPs "Pain" and "Unctuous", the album "Pain Remixes", and contributions to the compilations on Furanum Records and FLUX Musical Art. Only the remixes created for artists such as Tomohiko Sagae and Sirio Gry J are not included. For this release, Dominik Müller created a new self‑remix of one of his personal favourites, Judas Cradle.
Special appreciation goes to the remixers — Ancient Methods, Exium, Mondkopf, and Orphx — whose contributions offer fresh and distinctive interpretations of the original works.
Gratitude is also extended to the GEGEN collective, and especially to Alessia, for providing the opportunity to present the project’s debut live act at their renowned event series at KitKat. Despite challenging circumstances surrounding that performance, the event marked an important milestone in the project’s history.
Acknowledgment is given to S**A OFF / Inside Flesh for their performance during the debut live show and for their extensive support with graphics and visuals between 2015 and 2018. Additional thanks go to Leonard Wong and AyaBambi for featuring UNCTO’s sound in fashion shows in Tokyo and Shanghai.
The release is dedicated to Christoph Grote-Beverborg in recognition of his exceptional mastering work on most of the tracks. Rest in peace, master.
This double CD will be issued as a very limited special edition, accompanied by a booklet and a Polaroid photograph. The first approximately 15 copies will include a unique picture of the artists, taken between 2012 and 2018, most of which have never been shared publicly. The booklet contains short descriptions of the tracks, the contexts in which they were created, and the inspirations behind their titles.
