Dear Kern's follower, we are really proud to share with you some info about our current work. These three guys just had a really hot recording day in Berlin Schöneweide REC da House, hosted by the sound engineer Frankie Insulina ... this last Sunday Berlin it was 35 degrees but they didn't stop playing and drinking water. At the end of the day they produced 12 tracks. This project originated from the vision and initiative of guitarist and composer Marco Papa, as he collected a number of songs he wrote at different times of his life and shared his music with two of the greatest musician based in Berlin, Daigo Nakai on doublebass and Chikara Aoshima on drums. The result is a journey passing through traditional, free jazz, impro, poignant melodies and taking crazy leaps! We strongly suggest you follow this trio; the releasedate of the album is estimated to be in September. We’ll keep you posted, till then, enjoy the rest of the summer. Cheers, Kern Records

We are proud to announce the release of the Impro Session by Sho Masutomo, Luc Kottmann and Marco Papa. The three musicians live quite far away from each other but they had a chance to meet in Berlin at the end of summer 2019, spend some time together and realize that different culture have the same, common needs. Everything you will hear in this album is just "Real", coming out unmediated from their heart, soul – and brain, no written note, not something chosen before it was played, this album is just a picture of a great moment spent, sharing of needs and a non-verbal dialogue.

SOON!! We are proud to announce that in the next days we will release a live recording by Sho Masutomo, Luc Kottmann - Grave and Marco Papa. Three different culture meet few months ago in Berlin. The three musicians, coming from Japan, Chile and Italy, chose to share his own experience and record an Improvised Session. Stay tuned!

ELUSIVE BAND - Out today by KERN Records!

Elusive takes its ispiration from the marvelous sound of the clarinet, played by Richard Maegraith. The compositions, written by guitarist Davide Panza, allow the melodies to gently come out and impose themselves upon melancolic, airy atmospheres mixing arabic and groovy textures, leaving the musicians free to react and follow the moment. Daigo Nakai on double bass and Gianpaolo Camplese on drums are the rithmich session in this recording.
