Making visible the diverse perspectives that often remain hidden in everyday life, we can discover common dreams, needs, and crises in order to build visions for a common future. 🎬 Featuring short films by filmmakers from Cameroon, Chile, Palestine, Lebanon, and Germany.

All films are shown in original language and with English subtitles. After the screening there will be the opportunity to talk to the filmmakers and protagonists. Price of admission: 4 Euro (solidarity tickets available).

At Reframing Perspectives we are proud to present two film projects by Juan and Aline. The documentary "Shared Meanings" and several videos of the educational project "Formando Rutas":

Shared Meanings is a documentary with a series of interviews that seeks to raise more questions about the current narratives of multinational corporations, who sell a socio-technological imaginary that will bring a future of zero emissions and free of pollution through clean energy, hiding extractivism, labor exploitation, privatization and environmental deregulation in the countries where raw materials are extracted.

Formando Rutas is an educational project regarding the extraction of lithium in the Atacama Desert, the responsibility of the car industry, and the solutions beyond the individual electro-mobility. The objective of the project is to build a foundation for critical thinking of the hegemonic narratives and knowledges of the so-called Just Transition.

It consists of 10 short videos where communities, activists, scientists, trade unions, and urban development experts are interviewed. Each vision shows us the complexity of the problem, but one thing is clear: those who brought the climate and urban chaos are not the ones who will save us from this crisis.

Juan Donoso is a Climate Justice organizer, campaigner and writer based in Berlin. He seeks fresh dialogues between anti-capitalist movements and community building, operating “from below”, and facilitating interactions between a wide range of solidarity networks.

Aline Juárez is a Mexican filmmaker based in Berlin. She has participated in various artistic projects, mostly dealing with marginalized communities or the migrant diaspora in Europe and Latin America. She has also worked closely with activists, movements and artists in Germany, Mexico, Chile and Spain.
