Happy New Music Friday! 🎶

First and foremost: Happy album release day to Velvet Rush, who just dropped their album "Trail of Gold" with a stunning video for the single "Heart of Stone“! 11 tracks of hard & classic rock, spirit of the ’70s and energy of today, thundering riffs, groovy beats and honest lyrics! You can stream it, grab a CD or vinyl in our shop and catch them live as the support band for The Vintage Caravan on their European tour! 🎸

Next up: We’re getting shivers listening to "Salt and Sulfur" by Atlas Northcore! The new single is brutal yet vulnerable metalcore: pounding riffs, rapid blast beats and icy clean vocals that pierce through! ❄️

Last but not least: Volaire delivers a peaceful piano track that’s perfect for a calm weekend. The piano sounds speak of longing for distant places, a quiet yearning that both soothes and moves. Every note feels like a step into infinity: gentle, dreamlike and serene. 🎹

Last week, we got to experience quite a range of live tunes on stage. While one of us was living his best rockabilly life in Calafell, Spain at HIGH ROCKABILLY, we wrapped up the festival summer with ROYAL REPUBLIC at SEVENTYFIVE Festival and also soaked up some culture at Stiftung Bauhaus Dessau!

Apocalyptica Plays Metallica Vol. 2: Festival Summer 2025 wrapped! ✔

More than 20 festivals and open airs across Europe could witness the full power of Finnish cello-metal this summer! With their latest release "Plays Metallica Vol. 2“ (2024), Apocalyptica closed the circle that began with their iconic debut "Plays Metallica by Four Cellos“ in 1996. Next up: They’ll be taking their Metallica homage across the Atlantic for their own headline shows and special performances with Halestorm and Lindsey Stirling. 🤘

Last week, Apocalyptica played 4 shows in 4 days – and still made time to meet fans before the concerts! 🤘

In between, we discovered ROYAL REPUBLIC’s signature while working at 19:77 at RAMONES MUSEUM BERLIN, caught Brazilian progressive & avant-garde metal band Papangu at Neue Zukunft. Last but not least, we soaked up some vanlife vibes at Vanlife Ferropolis and broadened our horizons at gamescom.
