For our first party in what feels like an eternity, we’re taking over for a night of music, food and jolly good fun.

Showcasing the broad range of styles of our hosts and our extended family, we’ve curated both the bar upstairs and the basement downstairs, with each floor offering a distinct sound palette.

We’ll also be joined by food pop up, , who’ll be running the kitchen for the night serving tasty Caribbean treats.

Opening the music upstairs will be , who’ll be easing us into proceedings with a blend of gentle selections. Next up is who’ll be digging into the depths of his record bag and sharing all manner of delights. Rounding out the night upstairs will be , slinging out 7 inches of pleasure from his infamous shopping trolley.

Downstairs in the basement, things will take a slightly darker twist. will be warming things up with some piping hot delicacies served straight from her dub oven.

Headlining the night will be Bristol Dubstep pioneer and all round lovely geezer, . Since the mid 2000s, Appleblim has been an ever-present figure in the world of bass music, pushing a sound that occupies the deeper end of the spectrum; one that is markedly influenced by sounds far beyond the realms of bass music, and that is distinctly his own. His style as a DJ is as diverse and all-encompassing as his productions, moving seamlessly through genres, tempos and moods.

Closing the basement will be , whose style leans into rough drum breaks and even rougher basslines!

Falling one key short, but no less harmonious, on the 87th day of the year we come together to celebrate international Piano Day. Here at Funkhaus in Berlin, home to the studio of Piano Day’s founder Nils Frahm, we mark the occasion together.

Join us for a social encounter entwining the calmness of felted strings, sub basses and sound installations with the energy and focus of independent music artists across two rooms. From 12pm until 8pm, experience a broad scope of local and international piano-centred artists throughout the day.

In K4 Studio, intimate live performances unfold from Catalyst’s studios and will be streamed via Etikett Radio and Catalyst’s YouTube.

Meanwhile in Studio P2, we present a very different kind of piano. The Yamaha Disklavier DKC-800, sometimes affectionately referred to as the “haunted piano”, is an acoustic instrument fitted with digital technology that allows it to perform compositions by itself with extraordinary precision. Bridging the digital and physical worlds, this instrument becomes both performer and medium, bringing a series of strange and thought provoking works to life.

You’re warmly invited to gather with us at Funkhaus, where the music will resonate through the space and visitors can step a little closer to the source throughout the day.

Our aim is simple: to detach from the chaos and connect with each other in a slower fashion.

An exponent of the LGBTQIA+ scene, he has performed at festivals and clubs across Latin America, Europe, Africa, Asia, and Oceania. His original work, spanning from house to techno, gained international recognition with the album Gueto Elegance and praise from Mixmag.

“Radin” is a metaphor for my earliest musical travels. It’s a small attempt to make this space a public extension of those moments, or at least a sweet reminder of how they felt. Tune in :)

teachyourselftofly is a weekly curated sound art practice and community at Catalyst. We explore improvisation, text and graphic scores, and experimental approaches to performance and deep listening. Here we share recordings from our sessions.

16:00 - 17:00 -> XOXO (Live)
A live exploration of sound sculpting through modular synthesis, by weaving textures, rhythms and timbres that keep evolving in real time. A unique journey that unfolds with every performance, by choreographing a shared state of awareness, whilst offering both collective resonance and deeply personal reflection.

17:00 - 18:00 -> FORZUG (DJ) /
FORZUG is a Brazilian project from Ceará that aims to promote and support the electronic music scene and collaborate with other artists. Music, authenticity and connection.

Etikett Radio: Spring Bloom // 24.05 // 15:00-17:00

Putting an end to the introductions, Type1, Estonian-born producer, DJ, and promoter, steps into the spotlight. Known for his sharp, eclectic selections in the experimental club sphere, this set sees him pivot toward the sounds that shaped his early days behind the decks: vintage-tinged house, sleazy electro, and techno filtered through the shimmer of Italo and the pulse of Uruguay. While it’s a detour from his usual terrain, his ear for detail and narrative remains intact. Expect slick grooves, unexpected twists, and a few breakbeat or 2-step curveballs woven in for good measure.

With the event already this Saturday, we’re continuing our introductions with one of the more established artists on the lineup, a steady presence behind the decks whose set we’re excited for.

Greta is a 19-year-old DJ and selector whose journey into music began in the quiet corners of a small town in southern Italy. Growing up behind the scenes of the local theater where her mother worked, she spent countless hours immersed in classical performances, an experience that laid the foundation for her deep appreciation of sound. Early on, she trained in piano, cello, solfeggio, and voice, developing both technical skill and a sharp musical sensibility.

At 15, Greta moved to Barcelona, a turning point that sparked her fascination with electronic music. In this new city, she embraced her vulnerability and curiosity, diving headfirst into the world of record digging. She found herself drawn to the lush textures of ‘95 progressive house, the gritty pulse of ‘90s Italian techno, and the raw energy of German and Belgian electro and EBM. Her vinyl collection now spans 700 to 1000 records, reflecting her wide-ranging taste and obsessive dedication.

Despite her young age, Greta has already left her mark on the international scene. She’s played at iconic clubs and festivals across Europe, including a standout performance at Brunch Electronik in Barcelona, where she represented the Resident Advisor stage. Her tour path has taken her through cities like Malaga, Luxembourg, Milan, Como, Amsterdam, Lisbon, and beyond. Along the way, she’s shared lineups with revered artists such as John Talabot, Francesco Farfa, Nightmares on Wax, Octave One, and Francesco Del Garda, a testament to both her talent and rapidly rising profile.

Greta’s sets are a reflection of her story: emotionally charged, deeply informed, and driven by an ever-evolving love for music in all its forms.

Etikett Radio: Spring Bloom // 24.05 // 19:00-21:00

Closing the night out in style is Wolim Sound, a Mexican DJ and producer whose journey into electronic music began in 2018, inspired by the vibrant underground techno scene in Tulum. Immersing himself in the atmosphere of local events, he found early influences in melodic techno, which sparked his passion for music curation, digging deep into tracks, and building carefully crafted playlists.

After three years of exploring the scene and refining his musical taste, Wolim stepped behind the decks to begin his DJ career. Starting out at local house parties and quickly moving on to perform at some of Mexico City’s clubs, his sound began to evolve. Driven by a deep interest in underground European techno and influential international labels such as Ostgut Ton, Cocoon, Kontakt, Deep Labs and Planet Rhythm. Wolim made the life-changing decision to relocate to Berlin. Although not originally part of his plans, the city’s rich musical culture, focus on self-expression, and unparalleled dedication to electronic music proved irresistible.

Wolim, after spending a year at Funkhaus music production school and immersing himself in
DJ sets, live performances, and record digging, embarked on a new career path that led to a profound sense of personal and artistic reinvention. His productions are a captivating blend of deep ambient techno, dub, tech house, and minimal, reflecting his diverse influences. Inspired by renowned artists like Luke Hess, Ana Antonova, Andre Galluzzi, Martinou, and Sven Väth.
