Bora is a brand and a collective of four interdependent friends and designers. Drawing on each one’s experience, they decided to join forces and work together whilst maintaining their autonomy. Their way of being, naturally connects them, as do the materials they work with – wood, glass, ceramics, metals, plant fibres and textiles. The development of the products involves local, manual and semi-industrial production. In essence, uniting and multiplying forces.

The visual identity combines a monochrome approach, that separates the objects from each other, with a certain fluidity of the colors, reflecting the way the collective works, both collaborativelly and independently. The project included the creation of a logo, business card, product catalogue and a website.

What will the future of pizza look like? 🍕 Art direction for Pizza Futures, a magazine fully dedicated to pizza.

Pizza Futures is a print magazine, part of an awareness campaign to build buzz ahead of Nobell’s Food product launch – animal free cheese that melts.

The magazine features work by a series of writers and artists and intends to highlight how our civilization’s love for pizza might be affected by the climate crisis. It presents multiple fictitious scenarios exploring what pizza could look like in the future, as well as our way of sourcing and consuming it.

From pizza vending machines, pizza communes and Balenciaga pizza delivery suits to pizza monoliths and museums, each spread covers a possible scenario in an explosion of colour and illustrations, matched with refined but bold typographic work.

Art direction and design for van and jumpsuit customisation, part of Nástio Mosquito's performance ‘The Propaganda Gesture’ at ‘The White White West?’ (2021) festival, organized by Burg Hülshoff Center for Literature in Westphalia.

‘The Propaganda Gesture’ integrated the broader performance ‘Westfailure’, a performative exploration of the multilingual literature of the future, an exercise in imagining a future beyond national languages.

It is both a public apology, an individual recognition of collective interdependent dynamics, and a desperate hug in the face of invisible pain. It is an attempt to push WE further.
