One of the true icons of Paul Bracq’s design language — the Mercedes-Benz 280SE 3.5 Cabriolet, a highlight of the W111 series. Photographed during my visit to the , where I had the chance to take it out for a drive — an unforgettable experience.

The blue paint, the flowing chrome lines, and that 3.5-liter V8 presence made it even more special. Paired with “Wasted Early Sunday Morning” by Sneaker Pimps.

The Porsche 986 Boxster—love it or not—defined a moment. Mid-engine layout, manual gearbox, and those unmistakable fried egg headlights. A proper response to the small roadster era, but with Stuttgart DNA.

Built-in telephone? Shaggy’s “It Wasn’t Me” on repeat? Yeah, it was that kind of time.

Paul Bracq at his cleanest. 🙌🏽👌🏽

The Mercedes-Benz W108 traded fins for finesse—lower roofline, larger glasshouse, and just the right amount of chrome. It was Bracq’s first major design for Mercedes, and it set the tone for every flagship sedan that followed.

Over 380,000 were built, but it still feels understated in the best way.
Classic lines, real presence, and a cabin trimmed in wood and leather that still holds its own.

With the restoration of his Alfa Romeo Giulia Sprint Speciale finally complete, Phillip set out to reconnect the car with the spirit of the era it came from. That journey led to one of Berlin’s most iconic architectural landmarks—the Philharmonie—where we had the chance to photograph the car in a rare moment of stillness.

“I had the museum to myself. Just me, the car, and this vast, concrete silence. The reflections, the lines—it all felt like the car belonged there. Like it was waiting to be photographed.”

The SS, originally found through a Sotheby’s auction, underwent a full restoration led by master craftsmen Siegmar Prätor and Christian Schmidt, bringing it back from beneath years of hidden damage. Now, it stands not just as a survivor—but as a statement.

“I didn’t want a showpiece. I just wanted it done right. I’ll drive it. That’s the point.”
