Mit ihrer neuen Single „Everglow“ melden sich The Cryptex eindrucksvoll zurück – und liefern genau das, was die Welt 2025 dringend braucht: abwechslungsreiche, originelle Musik jenseits aller Schubladen.
Die Band aus Niedersachsen bleibt ihrem Markenzeichen treu: ein einzigartiger Mix aus Progressive Rock, Art-Rock und überraschenden Stilverschmelzungen. Wer beim Hören an die großen Melodien von Queen denkt oder an die komplexen Arrangements von YES, liegt goldrichtig – und doch klingt „Everglow“ ganz unverwechselbar nach The Cryptex.
Nach vier international veröffentlichten Alben, über 450 gespielten Shows in 23 Ländern und gefeierten Tourneen mit Acts wie Alice Cooper, Pain of Salvation und Threshold, haben sich The Cryptex als eine der markantesten Live-Bands des europäischen Prog-Universums etabliert.
Zu den Highlights ihrer Laufbahn zählen u. a. Auftritte beim renommierten ProgPower USA Festival in Atlanta sowie bei der weltgrößten Metal-Kreuzfahrt 70.000 Tons of Metal. Im Oktober 2025 steht nun ein weiterer Meilenstein an: The Cryptex sind Teil des Line-ups beim ProgPower Europe Festival, das vom 3.–5. Oktober 2025 in Baarlo, Niederlande (SJIWA BAARLO) stattfindet – eine Bühne, auf der sich seit Jahren die Elite der internationalen Progressive-Szene versammelt.

With their brand-new single “Everglow”, German progressive rock band The Cryptex return in full force – offering exactly what the world needs in 2025: diverse, original music that refuses to fit into any box.
Hailing from Lower Saxony, The Cryptex have always followed their own path. While the band’s sound is rooted in progressive rock, it draws inspiration from a wide range of genres. At times, you’ll hear echoes of Queen in their most artistic era – at others, you’ll find yourself surprised by adventurous arrangements reminiscent of YES. And still, it’s always unmistakably Cryptex.
Following four internationally released albums, more than 450 shows across 23 countries, and acclaimed tours alongside Alice Cooper, Pain of Salvation, and Threshold, The Cryptex have firmly established themselves as one of Europe’s most compelling live acts.
