Radio Angrezi

Because you fu**in' deserve it! Radio Angrezi is an experimental ground for sound, music, voice and live performance.

It broadcasts weekly from its studio at Speicher XI (Bremen) on radioangrezi.de, as well as occasionally on 92,5 FM, receivable in the Bremen and the surrounding area. In addition special broadcasts covering concerts, lectures, presentations and exhibition openings are produced regularly. In 2019 Radio Angrezi joined the HfK summer school during the Biennale di Venezia, made the festival radio at

the OUT NOW performance festival and produced live sessions in the city center of bremen with a variety of guests. Radio Angrezi is an autonomous student collective, spanning all disciplines, study departments and multiple languages. It is open for students, teachers and guests. It aims to rise questions, develop new conditions, shapes and formats, to perform and to broadcast – collectively or individually – to listen, to observe and to discuss.

Spaces in Place / Places in Space

How do we listen to place? How do spaces resound, shift, and transform through sound? Spaces in Place / Places in Space presents audio works by five participants of the course Sound and Research-Creation. Moving between field recording, narration, essay, and performance, the broadcast explores sonic environments as sites of memory, politics, ecology, and imagination.

The evening features: • Katja Striedelmeyer – Peat Stories: Sinking In (Irish bogs as living archives of myth and matter) • Charlotte Uekermann – Concrete Beach (acoustic thresholds on the island of Hydra) • rachael rosen – LESS IS MORE (listening to demolition sites through Schafer’s soundscape lens) • Hui Yan Lee – Live performance • Polina Surskykh – Liminality. Liminal spaces. Empty spaces (on the liminal)

Tune in for two hours of sonic thinking across terrains both concrete and imaginary.
