Als Kollektiv, Label und Veranstalter ist Serotonin Music (eh. Serotonin) seit 2020 in Köln präsent. Gegründet durch Niclas Engelken und Andrej Kovgan, steht das Projekt von Beginn an für stetige Weiterentwicklung, musikalische Vielfalt und liebevolle Menschen in Teamarbeit, die elektronische Musik als höchste Form der Kunst verstehen. Im Rahmen des eigenen Musiklabels, schafft Ser

otonin Music einen inspirierenden Raum, in dem Künstler ihre Musik und Persönlichkeit auf authentische Weise präsentieren können. Dabei bieten die zweiwöchigen Podcasts nicht nur eine Bühne für talentierte Musiker, sondern ermöglichen es den Zuhörern auch, die Menschen hinter der Kunst zu entdecken und ihre Geschichten kennenzulernen. Nach zahlreichen Veranstaltungen (v. Klub Domhof, Helios), sowohl als Veranstalter, als auch als Host, konzentrierte sich die gemeinsame Arbeit zuletzt auf den Ausbau und die Spezialisierung von Label und Podcast-Reihe. Die Philosophie von Serotonin Music besteht im Anspruch, Besuchern und Hörern gleichermaßen ein intensives Erlebnis zu bieten: So ist jedes Release für sich eine Einladung, neue musikalische Horizonte zu erkunden und gemeinsam mit Gleichgesinnten die Vielfalt der elektronischen Musik zu feiern. Den gleichen Geist verfolgen auch die Veranstaltungen, die Serotonin Music für 2025 fest eingeplant hat, um Menschen eine gute Zeit zu schenken und sie einzuladen, sich der Musik voll und ganz hinzugeben. As a collective, label and organizer, Serotonin Music (formerly Serotonin) has been present in Cologne since 2020. Founded by Niclas Engelken and Andrej Kovgan, the project has stood for constant development, musical diversity and lovely people in teamwork who recognize electronic music as the highest form of art. As part of its own music label, Serotonin Music creates an inspiring space in which artists can present their music and personality in an authentic way. The two-week podcasts not only provide a stage for talented musicians, but also enable listeners to discover the people behind the art and get to know their stories. After numerous events (especially Klub Domhof, Helios), both as an organizer and as a host, the joint work recently focused on expanding and specializing the label and podcast series. The philosophy of Serotonin Music is to offer visitors and listeners alike an intensive experience: every release is an invitation to explore new musical horizons and celebrate the diversity of electronic music together with like-minded people. The same spirit is also pursued by the events that Serotonin Music has planned for 2025 to give people a good time and invite them to fully devote themselves to music.

Schon in der Grundschulzeit hatte sich Fabrizio mit Musik beschäftigt bzw die Musik is ihm nie von der Seite gewichen, denn sie war ständig in seinem Kopf. Diverse Großveranstaltungen gaben ihm noch mehr Einfluss in die elektronische Welt wie ein Schlaraffenland, wo es kein entkommen gab. Durch verschiedene Auftritte auf Privatpartys und Gigs in Bars und Clubs waren die Styles doch sehr gemischt bis zum heutigen Tag. JAKO & ANGI are two siblings based in south Germany.
Both have been hanging out in techno clubs of the scene for years.
Fascinated and driven by the music and its diversity,
the two quickly realized that they belong behind the decks themselves.

As members of the bavarian techno label Sick’N’Raw, they have
already played at many events, including various festivals
such as Freiluft Festival or Farniente Festival.

The kind of music they play is not easy to describe,
because its a mix of different styles.
But its definitely dark, minimalistic and energetic techno.

Dance like nobody’s watching - that’s sayuaras mantra and her mission for the crowd when playing music. Between rolling basslines and juicy drops she creates a journey through the dark and driving corners of minimal and psy techno. Always on the hunt for that perfect synth shot that will put a smile in the face of others, or this dirty drop that presents a row of bass faces. As part of the local Koraĵo collective, she’s involved in creating events to take the the audience into a different universe. Be it for events or her sets, the notion stays the same: forget tomorrow, time and space, and just be with the music and dance - like nobody’s watching.

Tanzen, als gäb’s kein Morgen - das beschreibt sayuara und ihre Sets am besten. Zwischen rollenden basslines und saftigen drops nimmt sie uns mit auf eine Reise in alle Ecken des Minimal- und Psy Techno. Von groovy über treibend bis bouncy ist der gemeinsame Nenner vor allem: tanzbar und gemacht für die Nacht. Wann und wo bist du zum ersten Mal mit Techno/elektronischer Musik in Berührung gekommen?
Hatte glaub ich mal so paar Tracks in meiner Lieblings-Playlist und ja dann bin ich halt ma mit nem Kollegen mit feiern gekommen.

Wer hat dich besonders geprägt?

Der Hutmann, keine Ahnung. Ich war ma mit Benni bei nem Kollegen von dem Aftern und da hat er halt gezockt so und da hab ich mir halt gedacht das will ich auch machen.

Welches Genre hast du zu Anfang gespielt und warum?

Hard Techno und Schrank. Bis ich die Katze kennengelernt habe. Danach Dark Techno und Techno.

Was genau magst du an elektronischer Musik?

Ich mag den Takt irgendwie, das wenn ich mich so konzentriere auf die Musik, das ich alles andere vergesse und jeden einzelnen Ton höre, wie er einfach rhythmisch nach vorne geht und der Bass, der meinen ganzen Kopf irgendwie so einnimmt und mich einfach tanzen lässt. Das ist so irgendwie das, was ich an Techno liebe. Und wenn, wenn also so der Drop kommt, nur Bass und dann die High-Hats, das finde ich auch noch super. Keine Ahnung warum, ich hab dabei immer ein Lachen im Gesicht.

Produzierst du?
Bin dabei, aber würde jetzt nicht sagen, das schon was nennenswertes dabei ist.

Gehst du selbst noch regelmäßig raven, wenn ja-wo?
Im Moment nicht so oft, wenn aber, dann Elektroküche oder Katze.

Was spielst du heute am liebsten?

Im Moment Schranz, aber das wechselt so von Tag zu Tag.

Was sollten unsere Hörer über dich als DJ wissen?
Also ich bin Asperger Autist, weiß jetzt nicht, ob das in die Biografie muss. Ein guter Freund meinte mal zu mir, dass ich das ruhig erwähnen sollte.
Auch wenn ich meist ziemlich abwesend wirke-ich bin eher mit der Gesamtsituation überfordert.
