🌌 Today is the day: Niḷa, the brand new album by Ragawerk, is out now! 🌌
Guitarist Max Clouth and drummer Martin Standke are the creative minds behind Ragawerk – a project where Indian ragas, European jazz craftsmanship, electronics and krautrock vibes come together in a unique fusion. Their music moves between earthy grooves and cosmic clarity, between meditative calm and driving beats.
The title Niḷa means “blue” in Sanskrit – and just like the color, the music shines in many shades: deep and mysterious, clear and crystalline, raw and powerful, yet always poetic. Critics have called Ragawerk’s sound “floating sound worlds” (Jazzpodium) and “a global fusion with incense fragrance” (Eclipsed) – a musical spectrum that reaches from jazz to meditation.
On this album, Ragawerk expand their sonic palette even further: more immediacy, more edge, more space. The result is music that clears the everyday fog and opens up horizons – like watching the morning sky turn from night shadows into brilliant blue.
