Kompakt Bomber Jacke:

Wenn es draußen kalt wird und der eisige Kölner Wind sich unter all die Schichten unseres Daseins schleicht, bleibt uns nichts anderes übrig, als unsere Kompakt-Bomberjacke überzustreifen und in den Tiefen einer dröhnenden Techno-Bassdrum Zuflucht vor dem schlechten Wetter und der trüben Stimmung zu suchen. Zumal die Tür eures Lieblingsclubs manchmal etwas streng sein kann, ist es umso wichtiger, die Wartezeit in der Kälte gut auszuhalten – eingemummelt in euerem Lieblingslabel.

Ihr könnt eure individuelle Bomberjacke über unseren Webshop bis zum 23.12. bestellen. Dort könnt ihr aus drei verschiedenen Jacken Farben und acht verschiedenen Kompakt-Adlern wählen. Alle Größen findet ihr auch bei uns im Plattenladen in der Werderstraße 15–19 (Köln) zur Anprobe.

Also lassen wir uns nicht von der Kälte klein machen, sondern empfangen die gemütliche Jahreszeit mit den richtigen Mitteln, um sie voll zu genießen.  Wir wünschen einen schönen Winter.

When it gets cold outside and these icy wind creeps under all the layers of our existence, we have no choice but to put on our Kompakt Bomber Jacket and seek refuge from the bad weather and gloomy mood in the depths of a warm techno bassdrum. Especially since the door of your favourite club can sometimes be a bit strict, it’s all the more important to endure the wait in the cold – wrapped up in your favourite label.

You can order your individual bomber jacket from our web shop until 23 December. There you can choose from three different jacket colours and eight different Kompakt eagles. All sizes are also available to try on at our record shop at Werderstraße 15–19 (Cologne).

So let’s not let the cold get us down, but welcome the cosy season with the right tools to enjoy it to the fullest. We wish you a wonderful winter.

Hi Leute,

Weihnachten steht (schon wieder) vor der Tür und es ist an der Zeit, an Geschenke für die Liebsten oder sich selbst zu denken. Da darf der eine oder andere winterfeste Kompakt Adler unterm künstlichen Baum nicht fehlen.

2025 ist für uns ein ganz besonderes Jahr, welches mit der großen Kompakt 500 Ausstellung im Kölnischen Kunstverein, der Kompakt 500 Box inkl. 5LP, Bonus Picture 10inch und dem umfangreichen Kunstbuch angemessen gefeiert wurde. Aufgrund nicht abreißender Nachfrage der vielen Menschen ohne Plattenspieler, gibt es ab sofort das Buch auch einzeln inklusive aller 50 Tracks zum Download (DL Karte liegt bei) zu kaufen.

Christmas is (once again) just around the corner — time to think about gifts for your loved ones… or maybe a little something for yourself. And what better to put under the tree than a winter-ready Kompakt Eagle or two?

2025 is a truly special year for us. We celebrated in style with the major Kompakt 500 exhibition at the Kölnischer Kunstverein, along with the Kompakt 500 Box Set featuring 5 LPs, a bonus 10-inch picture disc, and an extensive art book. Due to continued demand from fans without turntables, the book is now available separately, including all 50 tracks as downloads (DL Code included).

CONNECTING THE DOTS 12 :

Naturally stylish, smart and slippery, a mix from Sascha Funke is always a welcome thing, and this latest entry in Kompakt’s Connecting The Dots series is no exception. Indeed, it makes sense that Funke should sculpt something so artful from the Kompakt back catalogue – he’s long been part of the label’s history. After all, Kompakt released his first ever single 12”, “Campus”, way back in 1999, and since then, he’s drifted in and out of the label’s orbit: singles, compilation appearances, and his Saschienne project with Julienne Dessagne. In short, Funke is family.

It’s no surprise, then, that his Connecting The Dots mix embraces Kompakt’s rich history. There are some deep dives into the distant past – the taut yet melodic “A Man And His Dog Out For Air”, from The Bionaut, makes a welcome appearance; Dettinger’s “Oasis 4” eases by earlier in the mix, part of an opening gambit of textural sway and swirl that embraces the hazy, lush dreaminess of the label’s Pop Ambient side. There are unexpected entries, too – Matias Aguayo’s “Komm”, Jürgen Paape’s “Nord”. “I didn’t want to play the same tracks that had been used before,” Funke says. “I wanted a few lesser-known tracks from the 2010s.”

Funke is also someone who knows the power of the mix, the way it serves multiple purposes: taking the listener on a journey; reinforcing the core values of a DJ, label, and/or venue; bringing together disparate entities into one subtly grooving whole. Easing its way out of the gentle warm-up openers, through what Funke calls “slightly groovier tracks, then a bit of Kompakt disco style,” the mix peaks with core Kompakt – the Voigt brothers, The Bionaut, Michael Mayer & Tobias Thomas, and a few appearances from Superpitcher.

It’s also a mix that looks forwards – it closes with Jürgen Paape’s “Grace (A Tale)”, from the new Total 25. The old and the new? With Funke, history never repeats, but the future looks damn good.
