Simple habits ✨
I love this example because it shows how easy it can sometimes be to upgrade your life with almost zero effort:
I once read, in a moment of full centred attention, that showing one's thumbs is a universal body language cue of authority/confidence/strength, and that this even applies while having your hands in your pockets. From then on, I flipped a switch.
It caused me no discomfort as someone who mostly prefers to keep his hands there, and even though I don't care much about how I look or what others think, impressions simply do matter & I fully appreciate the value of all my social interactions.
I still feel it every time! Whether alone (in my own mind-body state) or in others' attitude towards me.
So the ROI on those 2 minutes of listening & applying just keeps growing since then, about 3 years ago and for as long as I have this habit (= maybe for life?)
There are probably endless such "hacks" that need not cost you any resources yet could *iteratively* improve your Quality of Life while you go about your daily usual business:
One better interaction could mean a new friend, job, spouse...
All that's needed is a dedicated openness to transformation, some initial mindfulness & a quick rational long-term decision.
