In 'Human Upgrade: Susanna Hertrich & Hannes Wiedemann' Schader Foundation and Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt showcase two positions in a joint exhibit. One of them is 'Grinders' from the current issue #3 of FOG magazine! Opening Thursday 7 pm.

In "HUMAN UPGRADE: Susanna Hertrich & Hannes Wiedemann" zeigen Schader-Stiftung und Hessisches Landesmuseum Darmstadt zwei Positionen in einer gemeinsam konzipierten Ausstellung. Eine davon ist "Grinders" aus dem aktuellen FOG Magazin #3! Eröffnung am Donnerstag um 19 Uhr.

As this season offers plenty of exhibitions again, FOG is right in on it. On Thursday the show HUMAN UPGRADE opens in Darmstadt featuring Hannes Wiedemann work ‘Grinders’ (FOG #3). Just the day after the European Photo Exhibition Award (epea) opens its Italy Edition in Viareggio, featuring Robin Hinsch's ‘Kowitsch’ and Jakob Ganslmeier's ‘Lovely Planet: Poland’. Later in October we finally open our very own FOG show as a part of EMOP Berlin - European Month of Photography in Berlin. Stay tuned!

Ludwig Rauch offers us unique insights into the militant Neo-Nazi scene of the early 1990s in eastern Germany. Members of this milieu later gained notoriety as convicted arsonists, murderers, and terrorists. Our editors Jakob Ganslmeier and Roman Kutzowitz interviewed witnesses and activists, revealing ideological continuities that have outlived every historic upheaval and that lead straight from the GDR era into the ongoing period of right-wing terror.

Nowhere in the world do more people live behind bars than in the United States, a country with more than two million prisoners. Photography professor Nigel Poor discovered thousands of negatives that once served as documentation and evidence at the infamous San Quentin State Prison from the 1960s to the 1980s. Now, inmates interpret these images, resulting in a multilayered analysis of life in incarceration.
