GPF ANNOUNCES THE PASSING OF CSP LAMIN K. JAITEH

Date: December 17, 2025

The Gambia Police Force, with deep sadness, announces the passing of Chief Superintendent of Police (CSP) Lamin K. Jaiteh, Chief of Operations, Upper River Region, who passed away this morning at the Bansang Hospital.

Until his demise, CSP Jaiteh served the Gambia Police Force with distinction, dedication, humility, and professionalism, committing his life to the protection of lives and property and to the maintenance of peace, security, and national service. He was widely respected for his leadership, discipline, and commitment to duty.

The funeral prayer will take place today, December 17, 2025, at 17:00 hours (5:00 p.m.) in Tujereng.

The Inspector General of Police, the Police High Command, and the entire Gambia Police Force family extend their heartfelt condolences to his family, colleagues, and loved ones, both at home and abroad, during this moment of profound loss.

May Allah (SWT) forgive his shortcomings, grant him Jannatul Firdaus, and grant strength and comfort to his family and loved ones.
