My inner child is blissfully happy after attending the by Hilary Duff with opening act LA ROUX yesterday.

The show was like a cosy hang out with a childhood bestie you grew up alongside at, only in a fabulous concert setup with cool effects and pastel delight and lots of costume changes. A sleepover where you dream of being a superstar Dreams cape come to life.

And has been "with me" through the Lizzoe McGuire series, movie, more movies, Younger series and all her albums. I have so many wonderful memories with all these.

And I loved how she addressed her journey of growing up alongside her audience and how she made sense of her journey in her music and how looking back at her discography also ebooks a certain kind of nostalgia in her.

Absolutely adored this concert. If you can go and love anything Hilary Duff, so get a ticket if its still available. I came here specifically for this from Germany.

My favourite fashion editorial so far. I really love the contrast in colours as well as sustainable fashion vs sober architecture.

New magazine editorial shot and directed by me is out now in ROOSA Magazine.

I wanted to create a very dynamic photo series around the colours of Berlin's underground and decided to make yellow and blue the dominant colours. Because it shows that special contrast that Berlin has. You are in the middle of a super busy metropolis and yet can feel very alone - which can booth be soothing or feel sad, it's a matter of perspective and mood.

And the concept idea was to show that people don't really care what you do or how you look here. (Which is unusual for Germany. You might have heard of the famous German stare. Very judgy.) You can literally dance in the metro and it's not that crazy. You can wear all the bold outfits and it's not shocking.

So you have a choice: You can blend in and succumb to the city vibe and daily routine. Or you can stand out and be your most authentic and fabulous self. It's almost an act of self care and liberation to use fashion to remind yourself of who you are. To contrast your own little self with the big outside world. It's so easy to get sucked in and you have to be intentional.

And I love that different metro stations have a very distinct look to themselves and show a prevalance to featuring a specific colour. So I set out with my movement director Leah Holleran to not have her direct a model but be the model for a change. Which further added to the concept story. Move from behind the scenes to your main character moment.

Have you listened to "Oh! The Ocean" hey by The Wombats ?

I absolutely love this album and was so psyched to get to photograph the band recently during their gig in Leipzig 🇩🇪

It was a fun concert and they really brought their most fun songs and got people dancing. Loved it!

Got to photograph The Kairos opening for The Wombats

The indie rock band is from Liverpool and came with a lot of powerful energy and badass vibes. Really need to check out more of their music now.

I had the opportunity to photograph the English indie band The Wombats.

I've been OBSESSED with their latest album for over a year now and play it pretty much at least once a week. It's so fun! (Even though the lyrics can be depressing in a way. But are very much relatable)

So I was so happy that I got invited as a to shoot their gig in Leipzig on Friday.

Curating a selection of photos for an editorial is a skill and I sometimes find it a tough challenge. Because it can yield totally different results, depending on what you select.

You direct the focus, you set the tone, you shift the story.

It's like framing a painting in a gallery. The frame can enhance the image or it can distract, just like the surrounding images put next to it.

It also means that there are so many wonderful photos that don't make the cut. So I am showing them some love today by sharing those that didn't get printed in my recent Appointment Magazine editorial.

My concept was to contrast the rigidity of typical office looks with a high canyon vibe by adding your own details through colour, accessories and confident poses. Set to brutalist architecture, embracing self expression and dancing feels like a little act of rebellion.

Fashion editorial published in Appointment magazine #28.

I loved working on this project. My creative vision (which is my overall mission) is to bring playfulness into stuffy business life. Business should be taken seriously, but there's no need to be so serious about it. That just drags the mood, stifles creativity and blocks any kind of flow of ease.

Set to brutalist futuristic buildings, the otherwise standard business attire and the model's dance movements created a dynamic contrast, challenging norms of rigidity and expectation.

Adding dashes of colours in rounded accessories almost felt rebellious in contrast to harsh lines and deep shadows.
