Episode 12. April 2021.
I had POP LEVI on my list of possible future radio guests for a while now. After an 8 year musical absence, Boiled Records surprised us in December with the sudden release of a Pop Levi comeback album. When a second new album dropped a couple of weeks ago in March, I reached out to Pop and asked if he was up for having a chat. He wrote back with "LOVE let’s rock", so I called in to his studio on a Greek island.. and here we are. Enjoy!

Episode 11. March 2021.
One year of Radio Brain Wave! I thought it would be nice to flip the tables and interview rADIO³ host Neitschl, who invited me into this radio thing one year ago. In return, she surprised me by asking if we should do this interview live in the actual radio studio at ColoRadio Dresden. Wow uh, yeah!! You see, up until this point, I had been producing all my Radio Brain Wave shows from home, or in various other places, but never in the actual radio studio. When the very first episode aired, the studio was closed because of the first nationwide COVID-19 lockdown. So every month, I sent them fresh, new episodes that they could broadcast. This process became routine and stayed that way for a whole year. Until now. Suck up the shameless live amateur enthusiasm of discovering the production desk and all its buttons, with a little help from my rADIO³ friends. It's like starting all over again. Only from this moment on, it's really real.

One year of COVID-19. Rocking this broadcast with special guest band BAITS from Vienna, Austria. They've just released their debut album 'Never Enough', on Numavi Records. This was fun! Little did I know, that this would be the final Radio Brain Wave episode I'd produce from home. Shortly after this broadcast, rADIO³ offered me to make future Radio Brain Wave programs in the real radio studio at ColoRadio Dresden.

Episode 9. January 2021.
The first broadcast of the year. Against all travel restrictions, I was in the Netherlands. My grandmother had tested positive for COVID-19 and I felt I'd rather be close, waiting it out with family, than to be sitting around in East Germany for this particular situation. Luckily, after a few weeks, grandma turned out healthy and survived the infection without any real complaints. During my hometown stay, I interviewed dutch speedcore DJ Bart Hard.

Episode 8. December 2020.
Return to the radio after an 8 week time-out. A film festival was in town and took over the regular radio programmes, which led to an accidental double booking, so there was no Radio Brain Wave in November. This was a nice-timed moment, because it gave me the space to re-think and make some changes to Radio Brain Wave, aurally as well as aesthetically. This broadcast had a refreshed presentation and contained the best brand-new music that I could find in the year 2020.

Due to a relationship break, I almost forgot to do this episode. It's a bit of a different one. Unusually electronic, in various styles and ways. Kind of a crispy one, mixed with a hint of optimism and melancholy. This was the last episode of my first wave of broadcasts. After this episode, I had a one month break and took Radio Brain Wave for an overhaul.

Episode 4. July 2020.
The first episode where I interviewed a guest that's currently from a different field than music and culture. Hannes Füting, from Berlin, is into de-compostable, natural packaging and runs a company called REPAQ. There's also a VeryCompostable blog connected to it. A daring and inspiring talk!

Leading up to this episode, I publicly confirmed that I had become part of rADIO³'s monthly program on ColoRadio. At the time, I wrote about it online, saying "I am aware that creating radio shows is an un-popular thing to do, and I think a lot of you could care less about it." ..You see, I've had (and occasionally still have) my insecurities about spamming myself around, every second week of the month, for an hour of radio, which later turns up on Mixcloud. This was such a moment, resulting in this episode being the first not to push a video promo.

Episode 1. April 2020.
The beginning. After visiting ColoRadio Dresden's rADIO³ for the first time with Robin to talk about the upcoming edition of the Reverberation Festival in February 2020, rADIO³ host Najčel asked me afterwards if I would be interested in doing my own radio show. I initially declined, thinking it would take a lot of work. One month later, COVID-19 hits Europe hard. Sitting locked down at home like everybody else, I contacted Najčel to see if her offer was still standing. It was. A couple of weeks later the first episode of Radio Brain Wave landed on the radio.
