Since 1998, Jazzid has been a cornerstone of the drum & bass scene. Known not only for his impressive DJ skills but also for organizing countless parties across the Elbe Valley, his records have rocked nearly every city in Saxony. There’s hardly a club in Dresden where Jazzid hasn’t showcased his talent. ✰✰ Cities like Gera, Jena, Frankfurt am Main, and even London have had the pleasure of experiencing his diverse sets.

Drehkommando is a techno improvisation collective of up to eight artists, where spontaneity meets machine precision. Each performance is unique: the musicians bring their favorite gear—ranging from vintage synths to modern sound machines—creating a blend of analog and digital textures. All instruments are synchronized via MIDI, but beyond the shared tempo, there are no rules, no script, and no safety net. The music unfolds in real-time, shaped by deep listening, mutual responsiveness, and individual impulses, creating a living, ever-evolving sound journey.

On September 7th, 2025, Drehkommando performed at Grenzhäuschen in Belgium for the opening of a remarkable installation by Wolfgang Boes. No tracklist. No limits. Just raw, unfiltered music.

We’re incredibly excited to have Binne back in this year’s Advent calendar!

If you’re looking for me, you’ll definitely find me spinning vinyl. This passion has driven me since the mid-90s. I came back from a trip to London with a stack of records, and since then, I’ve been hooked.

One of my favorite places was the Dresdner Flugzeugwerft, where I had the honor of playing ambient and chill-out sounds as a resident DJ.

Now, a few years later, I still love exploring the Dresden nightlife, celebrating and dancing to various music genres. Behind the turntables, I’m also working on several personal projects: the radio show Rundreise, Melodic Cocktail with a live visual show, the annual 10"DAY with at least 10 DJs, dubStube, and International Music Ride with vinyl friends from the UK on Twitch.
