🔥 – Mission Accomplished! 🔥

Since my last update it’s been an absolute benching storm — 81 new scores uploaded to HWBOT, with about 60 of them taking gold 🥇. This wave was all about the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and the trusty Core i7-12900K, and they delivered in style.

The big news? I’ve officially achieved my goal: Top 10 in the HWBOT rankings! Sitting firmly in 7th place worldwide feels amazing after all the long hours, LN2 runs, and ASUS BIOS tweaks. 🚀

Among the highlights: XTU 2.0 Record scores for both the 12900K and the 285K on ASUS Z790 and Z890 Apex boards. XTU 2.0 is such a neat little tool — quick, fun, and always satisfying when you see that nice gold score pop up.

💡 Thermal Grizzly Duronaut once again proved itself as rock solid under extreme conditions, no surprises.

💾 And speaking of performance… G.SKILL's memory modules were a huge factor in breathing new life into the old 12900K. Their combination of high bandwidth, low latency, and outright efficiency let me go after scores that were previously out of reach. On this platform, that memory tuning was the difference between close and gold. Special setting let me run 8600mt/s on LN2 which is pretty fast considering we used to run maybe around +/- 7000mt/s back in the day.

Honored to be part to of this launch team and grateful for the support from G.SKILL. I've been using their modules for years even before I was sponsored it was always my go-to memory brand for overclocking as they have the best bins across the market. The continous top results speak a clear language. Therefor I'm happy to see them engraving their name in this workstation platform. Great job everyone!

Voltage Thrill Performance – Wave 2 AMD Edition⚡🔥
continues... this time, with 96 cores of fury.

As some of you guys that watch my posts closely might have seen right after Computex wrapped up in Taipei, I headed straight to ASUS HQ, joining a select group of their top overclockers for a secret XOC event. The goal? Tame AMD’s brand-new Threadripper Pro WX-Series beasts and push them to their absolute limit.

Let me tell you — these chips aren’t just powerful, they’re power-hungry monsters. With up to 96 cores and octa-channel G.SKILL DDR5 RDIMM memory, they demand serious hardware, precision, and patience.

Across just three SKUs, I submitted 42 scores to HWBOT during this second wave of benching. The results?

🚨 6 massive World Records added to Team ASUS's scoreboard in Cinebench and Geekbench — rounding out a launch we won’t soon forget.

These sessions weren’t easy — we’re talking serious power draw, tight memory tuning with 8000+ Mt/s in Octa-Channel configuration and massive thermal loads. But the outcome was worth every second (and restart 😅).

Huge shoutout to my partners who made this wave a success:

❄️ Thermal Grizzly – the Kryonaut Extreme may get the spotlight, but the new Duronaut absolutely shined here. These Threadripper IHS monsters are known for the dreaded “silent crack”, but Duronaut held strong longer than any other paste in my session.

This wave was all about scale, raw multi-core power, and teamwork. AMD brought the muscle. We brought the tuning.
More records, more voltage, more madness to come.

Back at it again! 🔥
After taking a long break from the hwbot leaderboards, I’ve found myself getting the itch again — but this time, with a fun twist. I’m digging out some of my Intel chips and re-benching them using today’s gear: newer BIOS, better power supplies, faster RAM, and improved thermal paste. 🧊⚡

It’s been a blast so far, revisiting these old CPUs and seeing what they can really do when given a second chance.

I’m thrilled to announce that I’ve just won the G.SKILL Overclocking Championship Online Qualifier for the THIRD year in a row! 🏆🔥 What a crazy journey it’s been!

This year was no walk in the park—competition was fierce, my schedule tight, time limited and the fight for the top spot was incredibly close until the very last hour. So much so that I had to start re-benching 7zip just a few hours before the competition closes to push it over 84k which allowed me to take the top spot. ⏰

Moreover the introduction of G.SKILL's new 6000 C26 bin for 16GB modules and 8000 C38 bin for 24GB modules was a game-changer, pushing us to new limits and requiring serious fine-tuning, while also overcoming previous overclocking limits with ease.

The competition took place across two platforms: the refined Intel Z790 and the brand-new Z890, which opened up a whole new world of tuning options. However, figuring out the Z890 wasn’t easy—it had no blueprints or past results to guide us, making it a real challenge. But with a lot of trial and error, we finally cracked it! 💪🔧 As this took many multi hour long sessions I was very pleased by how well the Elmorlabs heaters kept condensation from happening. Absolute must-have for XOC these days!

I have to give a huge shoutout to ASUS for the Z890 APEX motherboard—its incredible stability and BIOS gave me the precision needed to pull off this win. And, of course, none of this would have been possible without the amazing support from Intel, ASUS, G.SKILL, and KingpinCooling.

A special thank you to G.SKILL for hosting this amazing competition every year and keeping the overclocking scene alive. It’s incredible to have such a passionate community to be a part of, and G.SKILL continues to push the envelope in terms of both performance and innovation.

Now, I’m gearing up for the 2025 G.SKILL Overclocking World Championship Finals during Computex! I can’t wait to take everything I’ve learned and bring it to the next level. Let’s see how far we can push it! 🚀 And I'm really looking forward to see all my friends again in Taipei!
