🔥 – Mission Accomplished! 🔥

Since my last update it’s been an absolute benching storm — 81 new scores uploaded to HWBOT, with about 60 of them taking gold 🥇. This wave was all about the Intel Core Ultra 9 285K and the trusty Core i7-12900K, and they delivered in style.

The big news? I’ve officially achieved my goal: Top 10 in the HWBOT rankings! Sitting firmly in 7th place worldwide feels amazing after all the long hours, LN2 runs, and ASUS BIOS tweaks. 🚀

Among the highlights: XTU 2.0 Record scores for both the 12900K and the 285K on ASUS Z790 and Z890 Apex boards. XTU 2.0 is such a neat little tool — quick, fun, and always satisfying when you see that nice gold score pop up.

💡 Thermal Grizzly Duronaut once again proved itself as rock solid under extreme conditions, no surprises.

💾 And speaking of performance… G.SKILL's memory modules were a huge factor in breathing new life into the old 12900K. Their combination of high bandwidth, low latency, and outright efficiency let me go after scores that were previously out of reach. On this platform, that memory tuning was the difference between close and gold. Special setting let me run 8600mt/s on LN2 which is pretty fast considering we used to run maybe around +/- 7000mt/s back in the day.

Honored to be part to of this launch team and grateful for the support from G.SKILL. I've been using their modules for years even before I was sponsored it was always my go-to memory brand for overclocking as they have the best bins across the market. continues... this time, with 96 cores of fury.

As some of you guys that watch my posts closely might have seen right after Computex wrapped up in Taipei, I headed straight to ASUS HQ, joining a select group of their top overclockers for a secret XOC event. The goal? Tame AMD’s brand-new Threadripper Pro WX-Series beasts and push them to their absolute limit.

Let me tell you — these chips aren’t just powerful, they’re power-hungry monsters. With up to 96 cores and octa-channel G.SKILL DDR5 RDIMM memory, they demand serious hardware, precision, and patience.

Across just three SKUs, I submitted 42 scores to HWBOT during this second wave of benching. The results?

🚨 6 massive World Records added to Team ASUS's scoreboard in Cinebench and Geekbench — rounding out a launch we won’t soon forget.

These sessions weren’t easy — we’re talking serious power draw, tight memory tuning with 8000+ Mt/s in Octa-Channel configuration and massive thermal loads. But the outcome was worth every second (and restart 😅).

Back at it again! 🔥
After taking a long break from the hwbot leaderboards, I’ve found myself getting the itch again — but this time, with a fun twist. I’m digging out some of my Intel chips and re-benching them using today’s gear: newer BIOS, better power supplies, faster RAM, and improved thermal paste. 🧊⚡

It’s been a blast so far, revisiting these old CPUs and seeing what they can really do when given a second chance.
