Otto Quast Bau AG in Coswig has received a new 75-meter gantry crane from Teichmann. With a 40 t load capacity and a total reach of 62 m, the crane enables efficient and precise handling of precast elements. The existing steel structure was refurbished and all systems renewed.

Concrete meets art: For the world premiere of “Cagliostro – Johann Strauss in the Circus Tent” in Vienna, MABA Fertigteilindustrie used 560 tons of Quick Blocks to anchor the tent without any ground anchoring. The blocks became part of the artistic installation, combining engineering and performance.

A new SLG life cycle assessment compared six typical terrace materials – from concrete slabs and natural stone to wood and ceramics. Concrete slabs in unbound construction achieved the best results for resource use and CO₂ emissions, thanks to their recyclability and regional production.
