Last concert of the season 🩵

On June 6th at 16:00, the fourth and final concert of my Neue Konzertreihe Greiz will take place at the Festsaal of the Unteres Schloss in Greiz.

This series has been something very special for me. Over the past months, more than 180 people have come to our concerts, and seeing this response in a small city like Greiz has honestly moved me quite a lot.

For this final concert I have the great pleasure to play with the wonderful violinist Eva Wetzel — an old colleague and friend from our years studying in Hamburg.

We’ll perform music by Beethoven, Clara Schumann and Poulenc. I would love to see many of you there for the closing concert of this first season. And this is only the beginning ☄️

Nach dem ausverkauften Auftaktkonzert im Februar freue ich mich sehr, Sie nun zum zweiten Konzert der Neuen Konzertreihe Greiz einzuladen.

Dieses Mal spiele ich im Duo mit meiner Frau Begüm — etwas ganz Besonderes für uns.

Das Programm verbindet ganz unterschiedliche Klangwelten:
die Melancholie und Zartheit von Schubert, das Feuer von Falla und die Leidenschaft und Kraft von César Franck.

Ein herzlicher Dank an für die Unterstützung und dafür, dass diese Konzertreihe möglich ist.

After the sold-out opening concert in February, I’m truly excited to invite you to the second concert of the Neue Konzertreihe Greiz.

This time I’ll be performing in duo with my wife, Begüm - something very special for us.

The program brings together very different worlds:
the tenderness and melancholy of Schubert, the fire of Falla, and the passion and strength of César Franck.

What can I say…
Coming back to my hometown and experiencing this was something I will never forget.

It was a true celebration of music, of love, of connection.
The hall was completely sold out, and from the very first moment I felt that we were all vibrating in synchrony. There was a rare sense of unity in the room, something difficult to describe but impossible not to feel.

Before playing, I spoke about the music. I wanted everyone, even those who don’t usually attend classical concerts, to feel part of the journey. And afterwards many told me they had understood, that they had felt included, that they had been deeply moved. Some even had tears in their eyes. This means a lot to me.

The encores were a surprise: sharing the stage with my wife made the evening even more special. For many, it was the first time hearing her play. And for us, it was unforgettable.

After the concert we celebrated with family, old friends and new faces.
It felt like a circle closing, and at the same time, a new chapter quietly beginning.

Some doors have opened. Some conversations have started.
All I can say for now is… we will be back soon.
