Since its founding in 2010, the Munich-based label „City of Drums“ has been developing step by step, always having an open ear for new, and of course also experienced talents, in order to promote them and provide them with a platform for themselves and their music. Artists like Dukadelik, Somnia or Wild und Verwegen have published their first releases at „CoD“ and are now a permanent part

of the label. „The Art of Electronic Music“ is not just the label’s motto, but its also the philosophy and even the lifestyle of the „City of Drums“ artists and this also reflects in their releases. „City of Drums“ are not fixed on any specific genre and their Name stands for musical openness and diversity. Which is why you can find dreamy and melodic Deep House as well as powerful and driving tech house or techno among their releases. In addition to a really strong collective, this also seems to be the success of the label, which is reflected in growing popularity and some chart placements on various download portals. „City of Drums“ will release numerous releases of new and old well-known artists this year, so there is no end in sight for this up and coming Label and we are excited to see where this musical journey will take us. Seit der Gründung im Jahr 2010 entwickelte sich das in München ansässige Label “City of Drums” Schritt um Schritt weiter, immer ein offenes Ohr für neue und natürlich auch erfahrene Talente, um diese zu fördern und ihnen eine Plattform zu bieten, um sich und ihre Werke präsentieren zu können. Künstler wie Dukadelik, Somnia oder Wild und Verwegen haben ihre ersten Releases bei “CoD” veröffentlicht und sind mittlerweile ein festes Bestandteil des Labels. “The Art of Electronic Music” ist nicht nur der Leitsatz des Labels, vielmehr ist es seine Philosophie, ja sogar der Lebensstil der CoD Künstler und das spiegelt sich auch in den Veröffentlichungen wider. Man ist hier nicht auf ein Genre fixiert oder gar verbohrt. Nein, unter den Releases findet man verträumtes und melodisches Deep House genauso wie kraftvolles und treibendes Tech-House oder Techno. Das scheint auch neben einem wirklich starkem Kollektiv das Erfolgsrezept des Labels zu sein, was sich in einer wachsenden Bekanntheit und in etlichen Chart-Platzierungen in diversen Downloadportalen widerspiegelt. Ein Ende ist noch lange nicht in Sicht. Dieses Jahr wird City of Drums zahlreiche Releases neuer sowie alt bekannter Künstler herausbringen.Ihr dürft gespannt sein, wo die Reise uns hinführt.
