Chaos/Ordnung 🧹

vakuum ist ein duo-thematisches Wendemagazin, bei dem zwei gegensätzliche Perspektiven auf ein gemeinsames Oberthema aufeinandertreffen. Issue IV widmet sich den Begriffen Chaos und Ordnung mit Fashion-Editorials, Essays, Prosa und Reportagen. Fokus liegt auf Mode, Musik, Gesellschaft und zeitgenössischer Kultur. Es gibt Gespräche mit spannenden Persönlichkeiten aus der Pop- und Subkultur, sowohl aufstrebenden als auch etablierten.

Just our type 🔤

After stocking the inaugural issue five years ago, is finally back on our shelves with their new anniversary issue.

TYPEONE is a bi-annual gloss magazine that fuses creative type mediums with topics such as culture, business, technology, innovation, global issues and design. All of these creative explorations headed by our TYPE01 team and network of freelancers discuss global-led initiatives, projects, campaigns and the people behind them – spotlighting the next generation and featuring a talented scope of creative humans from all over the world.

Issue 10, 5 years in print, and one of many font issues to come, is guest-edited and designed by Studio Groundfloor, the studio that has been shaping the look and feel of TYPEONE since day one. For this celebratory issue, they’ve stepped in as editors to ask not just what type looks like, but what it means in 2025.

Across each section of culture and innovation, studio interviews, opinion, insights, spotlights and idol pieces, contributors reflect on type’s capacity to resist, to preserve, to memorialise, to include — and to disrupt. And in keeping with TYPEONE’s contemporary typographic spirit, with the incredible support of Dinamo’s Diatype font family, each feature is designed using a typeface designed by the creative or entity behind the article, giving the issue a visual diversity that mirrors the culture it represents. All underpinned by a tight structural grid build by SGF with rigour and intention, paying homage to the precision and intentionality that type design demands.

At a key milestone of reflection, issue 10 explores type’s place in our culture today.

Issue 10 cover’s, which also doubles as the colophon (a ‘coverphon’?), sets this typeface (aka, Stephan Marx’s handwriting) as a mighty number ‘10’, set against a deep red Pantone.

From Paris with Love 💙🤍❤️

Back in print under new creative leadership: The brand new issue of features leftfield pop icon Solange, critically acclaimed director Benny Safdie, rap iconoclast Young Thug, breakout movie star Nadia Melliti, girl-of-the-moment Loli Bahia, and a special fashion story titled In Technicolor, LOVE’s Issue 24 covers expand on the people who shape culture today, redefining the boundaries of freedom from an ethical, visual, and social standpoint. Themed around “Freedom,” the latest issue of LOVE explores through all its nuances and facets, and in dialogue with an exciting cast of creative collaborators.

Inside the magazine, an exploration of nomadic culture in Kyrgyzstan sits alongside a 20-page fashion story on the phenomenon of dressing for the courtroom. A profile of tech entrepreneur Avi Schiffmann is paired with a field trip to Central China’s Wudang Mountains, uncovering the centuries-old practice of Qigong. Meanwhile, L-Gante, a leading star of Argentina’s cumbia scene, appears alongside iconic model Guinevere Van Seenus in Los Angeles.

Pink and juicy

After many requests, finally part of our selection:
Founded in Amsterdam in early 2001, BUTT magazine is filled with interviews and photographs of and by shameless qu**rs from the world over. Printed on pink paper in a handy pocket-sized shape, BUTT has so far published 37 issues, providing a place for g**s and theys to speak straightforwardly about their ideas, work and s*x lives.
