Christian Wilckens ist Komponist für Film und Fernsehen und hat die Soundtracks zu vielen internationale Werbekampagnen komponiert. Nach einer klassischen Instrumental- und Kompositionsausbildung erweiterte er seinen Fokus auf Pop und Jazz und arbeitete als Studiomusiker für zahlreiche internationale Künstler. Gemeinsam mit Partnern gründete er eine Musikproduktionsfirma, die seit Jahren eine feste Größe in TV und Werbung ist. Für seine Arbeit wurde er unter anderem bei den New York Festivals und Eyes & Ears of Europe ausgezeichnet. Christian Wilckens is a composer in film and television and has written the soundtracks for numerous international advertising campaigns. After a classical instrumental and composition education he expanded his focus on pop & jazz music, working as a studio musician for many international artists. Together with partners he founded a music production company which is an integral part of the TV and advertising music market since years. For his work he received, among others, awards at the New York Festivals and Eyes & Ears of Europe.

My friendship with Frank goes all the way back to our days in Germany, years before Australia became his new home.

Like so many of his friends, I was deeply shocked and saddened by his death, and I still find it hard to comprehend that this wonderful guy is no longer with us.

Frank was always there for others. He lived an extraordinary and incredibly varied life – and in the end, he died as he had lived: trying to help others. A true hero.

I’ve dedicated my latest saxophone track, “Song for Frank”, to my old best buddy „Petschi“. It’s my small way of saying goodbye and remembering a very special friend.

Frank was a professional photographer, and the cover photo is one he took of me many years ago at a concert in Hamburg.

My thoughts are with his family and with all his friends in Australia and around the world.

This one is for you, Petschi. You won’t be forgotten.
