Das Leben und Arbeiten an Bord ist ein besonderes Abenteuer, eine Bereicherung der persönlichen und fachlichen Kompetenzen – und nebenbei erkunden unsere Mitarbeiter die schönsten Orte der Welt. Ab diesem Jahr gibt es CruiseVision zusätzlich auch in Robinson Clubs, unter anderem auf Kreta, in Österreich und Italien. Auch hier werden unsere Fotografen die schönsten Urlaubserinnerungen festhalten. Zudem bieten wir für unsere Reedereien und Großkunden Film- und Multimedialösungen sowie innovative Imagefilme, Web TV-Serien und TV-Dokumentationen an.

A rare moment of sunshine at the end of Europe! 🌍
Our team from Mein Schiff 2 got lucky - bright skies at the North Cape!

Here in the very north of Norway, around 2,100 km from the North Pole, you'll find steep cliffs, wide open spaces and, of course, the famous globe. It marks one of the northernmost points in Europe, a place you won't forget in any time. And certainly not with weather like this!

Mein Schiff Relax is currently cruising through some of the most beautiful ports in Europe: whether Civitavecchia with an excursion to Rome, La Spezia as the gateway to the colorful villages of the Cinque Terre, the vibrant metropolis of Barcelona or the charming Palma de Mallorca, each destination brings new impressions, photo spots and experiences.

And the best thing? For our crew, it's not a daily routine either, but an adventure. Between the work schedule and the camera, there's always time to discover new places and that's what makes working on board so special.

In summer, many cruise ships head north - with mild temperatures, long days and spectacular landscapes. 🌿🌊☀️

The routes lead through impressive destinations such as Stavanger with its fjords, Oslo with its Nordic city vibe, Ålesund with its Art Nouveau architecture and Trondheim, where history and nature meet.

Whether by the water, between colorful little houses or in the midst of rugged mountain scenery - the north shows its most beautiful side in summer. 💙

Zipper card holder
Take a practical zipper in which you can store your crew ID and safety card. Attached to your trousers, everything stays securely in place - and you always have your cards close at hand, whether for paying or opening your cabin door!

Mein Schiff is docked in the port of Ålesund. And while the guests explore the city, we from the photo and film team accompany them on their excursions and little adventures. 📸

Ålesund is not only beautifully situated between fjords and mountains, but is also a real architectural jewel: After a town fire in 1904, the entire town was rebuilt in Art Nouveau style. Today, playful facades, small towers and ornaments characterize the cityscape.

Living and working on board brings up many questions - and we will answer them all! 🚢✨ In our FAQ series we answer your most frequently asked questions about the job, life on board and travelling.

Today it's about: What are my duties as a Video operator?

As a video operator on board, you are responsible for filming the entire cruise and creating the cruise film at the end, which guests can buy as a memory. You are always in the middle of the action: Whether it's exciting excursions ashore, fun pool parties or shows - you capture the best moments of the cruise in your film.
Every day you will edit the footage to create entertaining and emotional clips. These are presented to the guests daily on the on-board TV and in the photo gallery so that they can experience the highlights of their trip first-hand. The cruise film is also completed by a voice-over, which you write and record by yourself to make the scenes even more vibrant.
In addition to the creative work, you will also be active in contact with guests. In the photo gallery, you present and sell the cruise film directly to the guests. At the end of the trip, you present the complete film.

Tower Bridge, Big Ben, Buckingham Palace - London always works! 🇬🇧
A really cool stop that many of the crew enjoy. Between duties, there is sometimes time for a short break in the city - and everyone likes to make the most of it!

Whether it's a walk along the Thames, a photo in front of Big Ben or simply a coffee with a view of the city - London always delivers.

A real highlight moment for our crew: .hunter_ and .by.anna with Captain Jens Troier on Mein Schiff 7 were on their maiden voyage to Spitsbergen last year. A place that not only gives our guests goosebumps, but also those of us on board.

Spitsbergen impresses with its rough nature, majestic glaciers and a silence that is rarely experienced. And with a bit of luck, you might even see a polar bear in the wilderness. An adventure far up in the north! 🧊🛳️
