Ab diesem Jahr gibt es CruiseVision zusätzlich auch in Robinson Clubs, unter anderem auf Kreta, in Österreich und Italien. Auch hier werden unsere Fotografen die schönsten Urlaubserinnerungen festhalten. Living and working on board brings up many questions and we will answer them all! 🚢✨ In our FAQ series we answer your most frequently asked questions about the job, life on board and travelling.

Today it's about: What equipment do I definitely need to bring on board?

A quick thing on the topic of equipment: In addition to your own camera, of course, you take a lens (at least one), but a good zoom range is actually always enough, so 24 to 70 millimetres, for example, or 24 - 105, depending on what you prefer and what you prefer to work with. That's enough. You are welcome to take a fixed focal length with you, but it is not mandatory.

The most important thing is really a good zoom and a flash. These three things plus a memory card, battery and charger. About memory cards: Please, please take at least two memory cards with you. It can always happen that one has an error, that you've somehow forgotten it, that it's full, etc. So please make sure you have two. Of course, you don't have to take anything with you for editing unless you really want to for specific reasons or for your personal use.

Many people take their own laptop with them, but we always edit pictures together in the office. You will also find card readers, Photoshop, everything you need to edit pictures. So you definitely don't need to take any more with you.

The HANSEATIC nature is currently exploring the far north — gliding through icy waters, surrounded by snow-covered landscapes and a true Arctic atmosphere. Quiet fjords, frozen sea and the unique beauty of winter at sea make every moment unforgettable.

🎥🌊 When work becomes a journey.

Between camera, horizon and new cultures life on board is about so much more than just producing movies for the guests ... it’s about collecting stories for a lifetime.

These are the impressions our videographer gathered during her time on Mein Schiff 5:

“This summer, I spent 16 days as a videographer aboard Mein Schiff 5, where I produced two travel movies together with a Ukrainian colleague. I enjoyed being able to choose my own excursions and making the guests happy with my movie. My daily routine was a mix of endless ocean, camera and unforgettable moments. The awesome team made it an incredible journey with shared experiences like dinner in Istanbul or coffee in Mykonos. Working on a cruise ship means discovering countries, getting to know cultures, making international friends and completely losing track of time.” (translated quotation)

Ready, Set, Smile!

Whether it's for the traditional embarkation photo or the gangway photo taken every day in port before guests go on excursions, the life ring is always there. Our photographers welcome guests at the gangway, capture the moment and provide a souvenir photo to take home. Crew moment at the North Cape 📸

In winter some cruise routes also lead to Nordland, to ports in the far north of Norway.

A very popular destination among guests, but also among the crew, is the legendary globe at the North Cape. Of course, the crew also captures the moment in photos.

At 307 m above sea level the North Cape is the northernmost point in Europe. The steep cliffs and impressive views make every visit unforgettable. ❄️🌍

With a little luck you might even see the Northern Lights on these trips 🌌✨
