"OPUNTIA, Prickly-pear Cactus" originates from the eastern part of America (Virginia) and can grow up to several meters in height (5-7m) and with a crown diameter of more than 3 m.

I recorded it in the middle of a hot summer in the month of June, when it was the warmest during the day and as I learned, this type of cactus retains an immense amount of water inside, which is why it was nice to hear what a beautiful harmony and melody it recorded.

I enjoyed very much in the icy-cold Highland River, coming down with immense speed from the heights of the Julian Alps, in those moments when its temperatures were pleasantly cold and the icy river wind cooled my day down while I was making this recordings.
