Pyramid in Hanau, Germany
This four-sided pyramid is situated in Wilhelmsbad Park in Hanau, birth town of famous brothers Grimm, in Germany. Wilhelmsbad Park is a former spa complex built between 1777. and 1785. for Hereditary Prince and ruling Count of Hanau, Wilhelm IX.
Pyramid stands on an island in the park's pond. It was built in memory of Prince Friedrich, the eldest son of Wilhelm IX., who died at the age of 12.
A barred gate opens on each side. In the middle of pyramid was a marble urn but it was stollen in the mid 1980s.
