A few months ago, when Ralf (Agogo Records) and I met at our regular tea in Linden, we talked about various event concpets. Ralf came up with a very interesting idea which was common practice in London in the mid 80s, a Sunday dance event. Gilles Peterson launched a legendary club night at Dingwalls in London in 1986. At that time, he received an offer to organize a Sunday afternoon event there, a 500-person club in Camden Market. These sessions later became known as »Talkin' Loud and Sayin' Something« and developed into one of London's most influential jazz dance events. Co-host was Patrick Forge (Da Lata), whom Peterson brought on board shortly thereafter. "
So we brainstormed and the result is the SUNDAY SOCIAL CLUB (IG: ) which will now take place at Kommunales Kino Hannover for the first time upcoming Sunday with Live-band, vinyl djs, social activities, drinks and pastries plus cinema movie time!
There is also a great article in today's edition of Hanover's newspaper Neue Presse Hannover / NP accompanying and introducing our event. Many thanks, Mirjana!
See you on Sunday, friends!
Cheers.🌻🍋✌️
