I was only gone for an hour to pray Esha, but to three-year-old Fatima, it felt like a lifetime. I found her in bed, ready to fall asleep. Her little eyes grew wide as she waited for me. She threw her small arms around me, her voice trembling with sweet emotion:

"Tmi kothay chila, Ami tomke onek din khujchilam."

Day 23: Trust and Sufficiency

حَسْبُنَا اللَّهُ وَنِعْمَ الْوَكِيلُ
"Hasbunallahu wa ni’mal wakeel." [3:173]
Sufficient for us is Allah, and [He is] the best Disposer of affairs.

It is a declaration that even if you can't solve the problem yourself, you have handed the "file" of your worries over to the best possible Protector. This is a source of immense tawakkul.
