Leaning German 🇩🇪 is essential and so is learning the culture. No matter your residence status , integration in the society can even speed that language faster than you think.

A year ago , I could barely make a sentence in German 🇩🇪. Today I don’t even need a translator nor do I ask people if they can speak English.
