This is timeless - a liminal being
Dogū - a creature representing a being halfway between man and feline. The engravings on the face and the marks on the shoulders are, according to some, tattoos. Works like these found at the site of Kami-Kurokoma to, in central Japan, dates back to about 2500-1500 BC (Middle Jōmon Period), and are preserved today at the Tokyo National Museum, Japan.
