Google Pixel has unveiled a new social campaign that draws on the cultural phenomenon of Universal Pictures and Working Title’s celebrated classic “Love Actually”, which, according to Google Search Trends data, is the most searched Christmas film in UK history. Titled “It’s Pixel, Actually”, the ad features original cast members Thomas Brodie-Sangster and Martine McCutcheon and draws inspiration from some of the film’s most iconic moments to showcase the Google Pixel 10’s capabilities. Created by WPP and produced by Arts & Sciences, the spot was directed by Mike Warzin and shot by DP Lasse Frank on the ALEXA Mini LF paired with ARRI Rental’s exclusive ALFA anamorphic lenses.

“Right from the beginning, Director Andrej Haring () and I talked about the idea of shooting on film. This being a student film, I knew we had to do a test for ourselves to justify spending the money on film stock and processing. From previous projects, I knew the people at ARRI Rental Vienna. We immediately started discussing cameras and formats. Knowing that we wanted to shoot Cinemascope and that we needed a lightweight camera for Steadicam and some handheld work, we decided to choose the ARRICAM LT. Being on set, looking through the viewfinder and hearing the film moving through the camera was a special experience for me and the whole crew. We are very thankful to ARRI Rental Vienna for supporting us”, cinematographer Florian Noever (). The short film "Dead Air" has its world premiere at the 2025 edition of PÖFF Shorts (). It takes place in 1991 at the Austrian national broadcasting station, where a radio announcer is tasked with breaking the news of the escalating conflict in neighboring Yugoslavia.

"We shot on the ALEXA Mini LF with Moviecam lenses. The large-format sensor gave us an immersive frame, and the lenses added a soft, honest texture - perfect for a story that moves between the emotional distance of the present and the intimacy of memory.

The NU.TRON allowed us to translate Sophia’s music into movement. We could glide weightlessly through the piano and shift from wide to extreme close-up in one fluid motion. Because it’s purely mechanical and hand-operated, I could respond instinctively - making the camera another instrument in the performance.

ARRI Rental supported this film as part of the prize I received for winning the German Camera Award with a previous project I shot. What I value most is their long-term perspective: they treat young filmmakers as future collaborators - our short film received the same care and attention I’ve seen them give to features", cinematographer Nikolai Huber (.huber) talking about the short movie "But I never asked".

As she prepares for a crucial audition, a young pianist discovers her ancestors' unspoken wartime memories — a past she never knew, yet is profoundly connected to.

"But I never asked" is screening at the PÖFF Shorts – Tallinn Black Nights Film Festival () 11.-19.11.2025, it has its world premiere on 13. November.

ARRI Rental serviced "Sechswochenamt" with camera, lenses, and lighting and grip packages. Cinematographer Markus Ott reflects on the handheld shoot: "The less light there is, the more important the camera sensor gets. The ALEXA Mini LF gave me a lot of confidence, even in challenging weather conditions and tight spaces. I am very happy that ARRI Rental believed in our project and was a reliable and supportive partner."

"Sechswochenamt" won the FIPRESCI and the German Cinema New Talent Award Prize for Best Producer and Best Actor at the 42nd Munich Film Festival and is screening today at the Cork International Film Festival followed by a Q&A session.

Set in the mid-’90s, “Steve” is a reimagining of Max Porter's bestselling novel “Shy” and tells the story of a headteacher (Cillian Murphy) facing the impending closure of the reform school where he works. Adapted by Porter himself and directed by Tim Mielants, the film was shot by cinematographer Robrecht Heyvaert SBC, who paired the ALEXA 35 with ARRI Rental’s vintage Moviecam series as his main lens set, supplementing them with HEROES Look lenses for a more detuned look.

ARRI Rental serviced the production of "Stiller" based on Max Frisch’s acclaimed novel with the ALEXA Mini LF, Signature Prime and Zoom lenses, and the versatile SkyPanel X, helping bring this powerful story to the big screen.

"For the shoot, it was great to have the new SkyPanel X available. We had eight units, which we used either with a softbox as a soft sky light source or with a HyperOptic attachment as a direct sunlight source. For other subjects, we combined the “soft” SkyPanels with PaniBeams and CLRS reflectors. We varied this SkyPanel configuration on rigs depending on the lighting design, which allowed us to work quickly, flexibly, and energy-efficiently on our subjects, with great creative freedom", gaffer Christoph Dehmel.

The story follows Stiller who insists he is not the person everyone claims him to be. Now in German cinemas.

The short film initiative "Prologue to the Darkness" () serves as an artistic testament to the importance of democracy at a time when public trust in democratic systems has been greatly compromised. The project is screening at the esteemed Hof International Film Festival (). It has been nominated for the Short Film and the Audience Award.

Cinematographer Elias Maria BVK (._maria) communicated his appreciation for his ongoing professional relationship with ARRI Rental. He expressed admiration for the staff´s continual willingness and capability to provide him with personalized assistance and extensive knowledge.
