This past weekend, we came together to celebrate my daughter's early birthday. We were joined by military-affiliated friends and friends from our German community. Our common thread was laughter, sharing stories, enjoying good food, playing with our kiddos, and embracing each other’s culture. I love the bonds we create when we're stationed in different places around the world.

As our girls spread their wings, guidance is the anchor keeping them grounded when storms brew. His countless sacrifices, nonstop dedication, and tireless hustle ensure their success, proving the amazing dad-daughter bond is forever. Every victory they score, big or small, has Kevin's fingerprints all over it—and they live for those proud papa bear hugs!

Whether it's giving directions or cheering them on, Kevin's the real-life GPS helping our girl crew navigate any adventure that comes their way.

Ever wondered if baby hair growth cause heartburn? Let me spill the beans from my three motherhood sagas! With each pregnancy, I battled extreme heartburn, and almonds were my allies for baby hair folklore – except for Imani, who had her own ideas about snacks! 😅

Thankfully, none of my little ones experienced that adorable but worrisome newborn hair loss. Two tricks up my sleeve I’d like to share: minimizing head laying and embracing the magic of co-sleeping.

Co-sleeping has many benefits when done safely. It not only promoted even head support but also fostered early mobility milestones with my kiddos.

As for their luscious curls, my go-to since day one has been Raw Shea Baby Wash and Shampoo, paired with the magic of Haitian Black Castor oil (or Jamaican Castor oil when I run out!).

Imani’s hair is a testament to the power of minimal manipulation and nurturing care. Styling sessions become bonding moments for me and her. She learns to feel her hair, the tools that will help style it, and keep herself entertained with a few of her toys for distraction while I learn to be tender in the detangling process, especially in the areas where her fontanels are still a bit soft.

Six years ago, on this magical day, I was reborn as a mother alongside celebrating my daughter’s entrance into the world.

Happy Birthday to my mini me Madeleine who has filled my days with joy, laughter, and an abundance of love.

Watching her grow into this beautiful, curious, cheerful, and talented soul has been my greatest blessing. Here’s to another year of adventures and milestones! 🎂 Help me wish her a Happy Birthday!

Can’t believe my first-born, my mini-me, is turning 6 soon. Excited for her growth, the new things she’ll learn, and the adventures ahead. As a mom, time feels like it’s on fast forward, yet I know each moment helps her figure out a bit more of this thing called life. It’s all fundamental in growing up. Giving her extra hugs and kisses this week leading to her birthday on Wednesday 🌱🥲🥰
