One of my favorite albums to ever have produced will soon come „back“ in an enhanced sounding version.
I usually don’t like to touch up works, since they capture the moment and mostly should stay the way they are…
But this one was fun to make, and felt right to do.
Original spirit conserved, clarity and details enhanced ;)
Friends,
some of you may remember this album that I recorded with my then collaborator and miracle-working engineer and flawless arranger Patrick Damiani back in 2008/2009. Several moons ago, Patrick approached me about remixing a song of these sessions for a project of his and after hearing the amazing result, I talked him into remixing the whole album. We dug deep into the original tracks of it all and laid bare some hidden little gems to create an enhanced listening experience of this rather personal album…
Much like the updated album art work depicting my great uncle and his comrades in French exile in the late 40s and early 50s, this replenished version sheds some new light on these “Flowers From Exile”. You’ll find it here:
