Music speaks louder than words; a picture says more than a thousand words. 2018 saw the beginning of a special journey for Daria and Christophe Salin. Sharing a deep love for music and visual art, they decided to further devote themselves to their passions and subsequently founded the music label Salin Records. Every release, accompanied by the visual art of Daria Salin, is intended to take the li

stener on a journey through electronic music. Their story began with the release of Christophe Salin’s trilogy of EPs; ‘Sweet Memories’, ‘Here and Now’, and ‘Will You Be There’. Soon afterwards, other artists joined the couple’s journey: Sable Blanc, Michael Diamond, Flabaire, Iron Curtis, Tour-Maubourg, Saint-Paul, Gledd, Eddi Shkiper and Roger Gerressen. There is something which all the label’s releases have in common – whether it be in the form of a sonic journey through New York in Sable Blanc’s album ‘Homecoming’, or a cryptic poem written to accompany Michael Diamond’s ‘Silk Road EP’ – they each tell their own story. Whilst the Salin sound is known for its special positive mood, often inspired by jazz and disco, the couple recently founded the sub-label Salin Deep to focus on even deeper, rawer and more dub-influenced music. Following the release of his ‘Duophonie EP’ on Salin in 2020, the Parisian and label friend Tour-Maubourg teamed up with Christophe Salin to work on a collaborative EP which will be the inaugural release on the sub-label. Salin Records is a small, independent project — and your support truly means everything.

These slides highlight our releases from 2025. Each one reflects a different moment, mood, and chapter — but all of them come from the same place: love for the music, the creative process behind it, and the visual art that completes it.

Following his acclaimed „La Vérité“ EP, Christophe Salin returns with „Where You Want Me to Be“ — a soulful Deep House single that draws you in with depth, swing and atmosphere.
 
Built around expressive vocal chops that echo a quiet plea for guidance — “got to find a way”, “take me where you want me to be” — the track unfolds in a rich, three-dimensional soundscape. Its layered micro-sampling, swung percussion, and tactile textures create a hypnotic sense of movement and depth, inviting the listener to sink in completely. The result channels the soulful energy of 90s Garage-House while remaining unmistakably contemporary.
 
The artwork by — created through analogue exposure and gouache — visually extends the music’s warmth and dimensionality, forming a cohesive aesthetic that feels handcrafted, human, and timeless.

Salin Records

Salin Records is a platform for electronic music and design run by Daria Salin and Christophe Salin based in Lübeck (Germany). Since 2018 their music catalogue is constantly growing with beautiful sounding and looking vinyl releases, always with love for details. It is also available digitally.

The name "Salin" was born on the saline beaches on Ibiza, back in 2009, where Daria took the inspiration for her very first painting which led to the artist name Daria Salin. The story continued with Christophe Salin and Salin Records. Daria is the exclusive visual artists for Salin Records while Christophe, as a producer and DJ, works mainly on the musical aspects. When you listen to one of their records while holding the cover-artwork in your hand, you'll get a feeling of how the married couple inspires each other since they met in 2007.

After the release of the highly sought "Diamond - You Like Jazz? EP" Salin Records is going to release "Tour-Maubourg - Duophonie EP" in March 2020 followed by their 10th release in September. 2020 will be a year full of highlights while the label family keeps growing.
