Completely uncomposed and unnotated, created in total freedom across six nights.
Each note is born in the moment, a direct reflection of inner mood.
For those who appreciate dark, improvised piano music beyond classical structure, slow, melancholic, and deeply expressive.

Some passages were re-recorded to deepen their atmosphere. The result is a sonic journey through solitude, transience, and the night.

Draped in Shadows “Forgotten in Moonstone – Sonata I” is a purely improvised solo piano album. The recording was created entirely without prior composition or notation and is based solely on free playing.

The album is intended for listeners who appreciate improvised piano music with a dark aesthetic, beyond classical structure, yet rich in expression.

The music moves in the space between classical romanticism and a dark, vampiric atmosphere. Each note arises in the moment, as an expression of mood. The result is a melancholic, minimalistic sound language, characterized by slowness, reverberation, and emotional depth.

The album was created over the course of three nights. In some instances, certain sections were repeated afterwards to deepen specific passages.

The sonata is divided into several movements and unfolds as a cohesive musical journey through solitude, transience, and night.
